Research in libraries and archives are necessary in study of
history because this are the repositories of the primary sources
and the secondary sources that allow us to create narratives of
the past. They're accepted methods of the historical
scholarship, students of history are expected to write historical
essay and historical research papers and these entails to the
collection of data share of primary sources.
But before we explain the advantage of doing Historical
Research in libraries and archives we should Define first what is
library and what is archive so a library is a building or room
containing collections of books, periodicals and sometimes
films and recorded music for people to read, borrow or refer to.
so as we all know a library is a collection of book so if you want

place you can go. so we have here the National Library of the
Philippines which is located in Ermita Manila so it was
established on August 12th 1887 so this um establishment was
a library for all like anytime so if you want to uh look for a book
especially about history it is the best place uh you can look for
since it contains the cultural heritage of the Philippines so what
is archives archives is a place in which public records or
historical materials such as documents or preserve an archive
of historical manuscript. so in short archive is the one who hide
the information or documents, events a long time ago. so we
have the National Archives of the Philippines - this is where
they collect the information to spread our history and see how
strong our country is in the trials they faced before we gained

but it makes it easier for you to find the information you need
