                AIM
The aim of this project is to find out how
different colors of light affect the plant
                  growth
         INTRODUCTION
Different coloured lights helps plants
to achieve different goals. For
example, blue light helps to encourage
vegetative leaf growth in plants while
red light promotes seed germination,
flowering, and fruit production while
red light mixed with blue encourages
and allows plant to flower and are
beneficial for photosynthesis. Knowing
that different colors of light can affect
what a plant does in important in a
world that depends on plants for food.
       MATERIALS REQUIRED
1. Colored transparent sheets {red,blue,yellow
   and green}
2. Flower pots
3. Bean seeds
4. Potting soil
5. Construction paper in red yellow and white
6. Paper towel
            PROCEDURE
  i. Take three boxes with five different
colored transparent sheets on top and
     front
ii. Plant seeds about half inch to the
     pots.
iii. Let them grow
iv. Take measurement every 2-3 days
 v. The plants were exposed to different
     colored lights
vi. There were three different plant for
     each different colored light.
vii. Measure overall height and leaf width
for the tallest and best plant of each
    color
             OBSERVATION
After the above procedures, it was
observed that the plant exposed to red
light grew the tallest but the one exposed
with transparent\bare light was the
healthiest. The plant exposed to blue light
wilted and died midway through the
experiment and the yellow was close to
beating red. Out of all the plants in the
experiment the plant exposed to the green
coloured light was in the worst condition
          CONCLUSION
Different coulored lights indeed affect the
                plant growth
This is because after the experiment the red
light exposed plant was the tallest and green
was in the worst condition ou of all plants
involved in the experiment. Although it was
unexpected, the plant exposed to bare light
was the healthiest. Therefore, I conclude that
inorder for getting a tall plant it must be
exposed o red light but for a healthy growh of
a plant it must be exposed to a full colour
spectrum.
