ABSTRACT

As face recognition technology continues to advance, its application in attendance systems

has gained widespread attention due to its efficiency and convenience.

This research delves into the long-term trajectory of face recognition attendance systems,
focusing on the multifaceted challenges posed by ethical considerations, privacy concerns,
and evolving technological landscapes.

The study commences by providing an overview of the historical progression of face

recognition technology, emphasizing its integration into attendance systems and its impact on
traditional methods.

As the adoption of such systems becomes more pervasive, ethical dilemmas surrounding
consent, data security, and potential misuse necessitate critical examination. Ethical
considerations are explored through the lens of user consent, algorithmic bias, and the
societal implications of widespread face data collection.

Privacy concerns, ranging from data storage and access control to the potential for
surveillance, are dissected to identify potential risks and propose safeguards. The research
also investigates the regulatory frameworks and legal frameworks that may shape the ethical
and privacy landscape of face recognition attendance systems
