After dismissing the above message, a fatal error may occur as follows:

AutoCAD LT Error Aborting

FATAL ERROR: Unable to Process Configuration File!
Causes:
Invalid or restricted permissions on the AutoCAD program folder (both on Window and Mac OS
systems). When creating a deployment for installing AutoCAD, if the Support Content is
specified to go in Program Install Folder, Windows systems often do not allow writing to the
Program Files folder and the error will occur.

Legacy AutoCAD CAD Managers typically deploy the Support Content to the Program install
folder, but nowadays User Access Control (UAC) will block the proper installation and
configuration of AutoCAD. The error still happens even if AutoCAD is run in an administrator
account.

Solution:
Verify the below points, testing after each:
 Reset AutoCAD to defaults (see How to reset AutoCAD to defaults).
 Uninstall and reinstall AutoCAD (see Recommended uninstall and reinstall
procedures for AutoCAD).

 If the a deployment was used for installation, select to install Support Content
into the Local user profile folders.

 If no deployment was used, check the permissions of the following folders to

make sure read-write access is present for the current user account (it might be
necessary to grant it for "Everyone"):
Windows

C:\Users\<user folder>
C:\Program Files\Autodesk

macOS
/Users/<user folder>
/Applications/Autodesk
