Purbanchal University School of Science & Technology (PUSAT)

Recognized as only one constituent Science and Technology School of PU. This
school particularly focuses on accumulating the technical aspirants from eastern
region as well as from the different regions of the nation and has been rendering its
services benevolently ever since the establishment. The number of students willing
to pursue their study in this school is gradually increasing every year due to the
effective Teaching-Learning activities and scholarships quota system the college
provides to the students. The college owns a well-equipped and advanced
Computer lab, electronics lab and labs of science to meet the standard of
universities. The library is enriched with the sufficient collections of text books and
reference books with latest publications. It also provides internet facilities to boost
up the student’s mind with recent affairs around the world.

The college has gained a national and international reputation as a leader in the
field of technology. It is the first institution of Nepal to introduce B.Tech in AI,
BCA and BIT programs at undergraduate level. PUSAT is focused towards
providing comprehensive undergraduate and graduate programs that prepare
students for a variety of careers in computer science and information technology.

With the exponential growth in the IT industry, B. tech in AI, BCA, BIT jobs have
witnessed a wide scale growth not only in terms of revenue but also employee
retention. With almost every industry using computer applications and software
there is a need for Technology course graduates for almost every jobs.

Historical Background
Purbanchal University school of Science and Technology (PUSAT), was
established in 2056 B.S. (1999 A.D.) in Biratnagar as a center of excellence in the
field of Computer Application. It was established as a constituent School of
Purbanchal University in the Provience No.1, eastern region imparting full fledged
Information Technology and Computer Application based curriculum for
undergraduate and graduate students. The PUSAT has been conceived with the
ambitious objective of developing skilled manpower in the fields of Information
Technology and Computer Application.

It was the pioneer school to start Bachelor Degree courses are BCA (Bachelor of
Computer Application) 4 years, BIT (Bachelor of Information Technology) 4 years,
B.tech. in AI (Bachelor of Technology of Artificial Intelligence) 4 years, PGDCA
(Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application) 1 Year, and Master degree
courses are MCA (Master of Computer Application) 2 Years, MIT (Master of
Information Technology) full time multidisciplinary undergraduate program in
Nepal.

The students from BCA, BIT, MCA, MIT get the placement in the prestigious
corporate houses and organizations both nationally and internationally. they are
also involved in pursuing higher degrees in national and international Universities
