Job Description of Head of Operations & Facilitator
Job Brief
We are looking for Head of Operations and Facilitator to lead and streamline our day-to-day operations, strengthen
organizational systems, and facilitate community and stakeholder engagement. This role is pivotal in ensuring the
effective execution of our programs, maintaining operational excellence, and nurturing a culture of collaboration and
continuous improvement. Project management and effective communication are important for the role.
1. Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
• Lead and manage daily operations across programs, administration, HR, logistics, and finance.
• Design and implement systems and processes to ensure efficiency and impact measurement.
• Oversee compliance with legal, financial, and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with finance teams to track budgets, allocate resources, and optimize cost-effectiveness.
• Drive cross-functional coordination between departments and partners.
Program Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, meetings with team members, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
• Act as a bridge between field teams and management, ensuring voices from the ground inform decision-making.
• Support the development and execution of new initiatives or pilots based on community needs.
• Represent the organization in external meetings, forums, and networking opportunities.
Team Leadership & Culture
• Supervise and support team leads, enabling their growth and effectiveness.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.
• Develop and implement internal communication and knowledge management strategies.
Other responsibilities
• Upgrade skills and knowledge on environment, education and health programs.
• Support, visit project locations and coordinate in implementing the projects.
• Promote Zero Waste Campus (ZWC) in educational institutions such as schools and colleges.
• Coordinate and collaborate with community for awareness programs and engagement.
• Track and update daily activities by the team.
• Gather information and craft narratives during filling out the applications for awards and ensure timely
submission.
2. Requirements and Skills:
• Strong leadership, people management skills and problem solving skills.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for social impact and community empowerment.
• Highly motivated to achieve desired goals and objectives
• Strong written and verbal communication. Require language proficiency at work with ability to read, write and
speak Kannada and English. Knowing Hindi will be an added advantage
• Time management and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Experience: 3+ years
Salary: Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 based on experience
