Dear Sir/Madam,

We are pleased to announce the District Badminton Championship 2025, which


will be held at Mohan Pahalwan Sports Stadium, Ganeshra, Mathura, in
association with the District Olympic Association Mathura and Shuttler Elite
Club Mathura. The championship will be held on the 13th and 14th of April
2025.

This prestigious event will feature teams from various schools and clubs across
the District, with the competition set to showcase the talents of young athletes
in the sport of Badminton. We cordially invite your school/players to participate
in this exciting championship.

The championship promises to be a great opportunity for young athletes to


display their skills and compete in a professional setting. We hope to see your
players participating in this thrilling event.

RULES AND REGULATION:
Event Details:

 Dates: 13-14 April 2025


 Time: 8.30 am
 Categories:
o Under 15 Girls / Boys single
o Under 17 Girls / Boys single
o Open – Single/ Doubles
 Entry Fee: Rs.300 per player. (for both Boys & Girls categories).

GAMEPLAY:
Age Category
 U-15 singles,
 U-17 singles,
 OPEN- single / double
Rules:
 Match Format: A match is typically a best of three games.
 Game Points: Each game is played to 21 points.
 Winning a Game: The first team/player to reach 21 points wins the
game, unless the score reaches 20 all, in which case the first
team/player to gain a two-point lead wins.
 Rally Point System: Every rally is a point, regardless of who served.
 Game Cap: If the score reaches 29 all, the first team/player to score the
30th point wins the game.
 Intervals: A 30-second interval is allowed when the leading score
reaches 11 points in the third game, and there will be no interval
between games.
 Referee’s decision shall be final.

Misconduct:
 First Warning
 Second Warning: Player ejection.: Player ejection.
Winning Conditions:
 Each match will be played on a knockout basis.
 The final match will be best of three games.

Conduct and Behavior:

 Fair Play: All players, coaches, and officials are expected to adhere to the
principles of fair play and sportsmanship. Any form of unsporting behavior
such as cheating, violent conduct, verbal abuse, or aggression towards
referees or opponents will lead to disqualification and possible
suspension.

Specific Rule Violations and Warnings:

 Faults:
 Serving: The shuttle must be hit below the server's waist
at the instant of contact, and the server must stand within
the service court.
 Receiving: The receiver must stand in the correct service
court and the shuttle must be hit below the waist at the
instant of contact.
 Hitting the Shuttle: The shuttle must not be carried on or
come to rest on the racquet, and a player should not reach
over the net to hit the shuttle.
 Touching the Net: At no time during the game should the
player touch the net, with his racquet or his body.
 Obstructing: A player should not obstruct an opponent or
invade the opponent's court.

Team and Coach Responsibilities:

 Coaches’ Role: Coaches are expected to conduct themselves


professionally and ensure that players follow the tournament’s rules and
regulations.
 Team Management: Teams must arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes
before their match for warm-up and registration.
 Respect for Opponents and Officials: Coaches and players should
promote sportsmanship and respect for all participants.

. Disqualification:
 Teams found violating tournament rules or engaging in misconduct can be
disqualified from the championship. The decision of the tournament
organizers is final.
