Review of Related Literature


The literature review will include academic journals, government reports, case studies, and
previous research on infrastructure project success and failure. It will highlight key theories and
models such as the Project Management Triangle (time, cost, quality), stakeholder theory, and
governance frameworks. Existing studies on Philippine infrastructure challenges and
international best practices will also be reviewed.

VII. Methodology

 Research Design: Mixed-methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative


research.
 Data Collection:
o Surveys with engineers, project managers, LGU officials, and contractors.
o Interviews with key stakeholders.
o Case study analysis of selected successful and failed projects.
o Document review of audit reports, project evaluations, and feasibility studies.
 Sampling Technique: Purposive sampling to select respondents and case studies.
 Data Analysis: Statistical analysis for survey data; thematic coding for qualitative
interviews and document reviews.
