pollution,we can reduce and control it enormously.We have
to take necessary effective measures to control it.I think
consciousness among the general people about various
types of pollution is the first initiative to reduce these
pollutions.
Planting more trees is a precondition of reducing air pollution
and maintaining and developing an effective sewerage system
can reduce water pollution to a great extent.Vehicles

too much sound should be banned at first and sounds from
radio,TV.ete should be kept in a moderate seale.Above
all, we must keep pace with nature and we must make the
globe free from pollution.
2.Drug Addiction
Drug addiction has now become a serious problem of our
society,especially in the town areas.Many young men and
women are falling victims to this.It is a curse not only for
themselves but also for the whole
nation which ruins them completely.Taking drugs frequently
one becomes addicted.So he get accustomed to going with
it.There are some effective reasons for drug addiction such
as frustration,bad association,availability of intoxicant,
unemployment,failure in love,degradation of religious values,
lack of family peace etc.Drugs are expensive.So to manage
money the addicts often go for stealing,hijacking,killing and
all sorts of misdeeds.Drugs are smuggled into the country.
The smugglers carry on drug business freely.As a result,this
curse has become widespread all over the world.This kills
drug addicted persons slowly but surely.But we cannot allow

popular.Therefore,a book fair does the same purpose as
it looks for the readers'interest.A book fair is very much
popular with the readers,men of letters and the authors.
The largest book fair in our country is held in February to
observe the Language Movement Day in the Bangla
Academy premises.A book fair promotes the publication of
books to
spread education and widen the sphere of our knowledge.
It increases the readers'interest on reading books.Bangla
Academy sponsors the fair and different publications
make
stalls to advertise their respective books.Story books,novels,
books on various dramas.books on poems,autobiographical
books,books on science and technology,books on raising
social awareness,ete.are usually available in a book fair.
Recently I have visited a book fair and gathered a lot of
experiences.Some writers are also seen sitting in the stalls
and their fans gather there for autographs.My personal
impressi about a book fair is that is helps to spread thoughts
and ideas of the great men.However,by patronising such
kinds of fair. maintaining the discipline and minimising the
cost of books,I think,such kind of fair can be made
successful.
