Xiaomi 15S Pro and Its Xring O1 Chip Match The Xiaomi 15 Pro in Antutu Test

The Xiaomi 15S Pro, featuring the new Xring O1 chipset, achieved an AnTuTu score of 2.5 million, comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the Xiaomi 15 Pro. This marks a significant advancement for Xiaomi's in-house chip design team, which had not released a new chip since the Surge S1. The device boasts more RAM than its predecessor, contributing to its performance in benchmarks.

In AnTuTu’s performance ranking, the top Snapdragon 8 Elite phones post scores just north of
2.5 million, but most are below that – some going down to 2.2 million (e.g. Galaxy S25 Ultra
and OnePlus 13). Dimensity 9400 phones are in the mix too, but under the 2.5 million barrier.

So, where will Xiaomi’s self-developed Xring O1 chipset land? Weibo poster Xiaomu
Technology shared an AnTuTu result, which ended right on the 2.5 million mark. The phone on
the left is the Xiaomi 15 Pro (Snapdragon 8 Elite) and the one on the right is its replacement,
the Xiaomi 15S Pro with the new Xring O1.

Well, this is an Xring O1 since there seem to be at least two versions – the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra
uses a version of the chip with lower clocks. You can see it in the second image, the two top
cores run at 3.9GHz on the phone (and 3.7GHz on the tablet).

Keep in mind that AnTuTu tests more than just the chipset, so other components can influence
the final score. Still, this is a great result for what is essentially a first outing for Xiaomi’s in-
house chip design team – the Surge S1 was forever ago in tech terms. We should note that
the Xiaomi 15S Pro unit had more RAM (16GB plus 6GB virtual) than the 15 Pro unit (12GB
plus 4GB virtual).

l That's too long, but I get your point. There were almost no support for midrangers, now they
state 3-4 years of OS upgrades and up to 6 years of security updates, close to the flagships.

E Gsm just made things up. They read a post saying that Xiaomi had developed a chip in the sub
5nm segment and just interpreted as it being a 5nm chip, when we knew that Xiaomi was
working on a 3nm chip months ago
