• Responses:

o 7 respondents reported that their children attend school.

o 6 respondents mentioned that their children either do not attend school or only
some of them go.

Proposed Solutions:

1. Improve Water and Sanitation Infrastructure:

• Solution:

o Construct dedicated water supply pipelines to homes.

o Install public taps in strategic locations.

o Improve sewage systems and build proper drains to prevent clogging.

o Build community toilets in areas without home toilets.

Impact:
These measures would significantly improve the quality of life by ensuring clean water access and
reducing sanitation-related health issues.

2. Encourage Education and Provide Scholarships:

• Solution:

o Offer free education initiatives, such as mobile schools and free uniforms and books.

o Set up literacy programs for children who have dropped out.

Impact:
This would increase school enrollment and ensure that children in the community get access to
quality education, helping to break the cycle of poverty.

3. Safety and Security Enhancements:

• Solution:

o Improve street lighting and ensure police patrols in high-risk areas.

o Create community watch programs to increase security.

Impact:
Improving safety would empower residents to move freely and reduce the fear of crime, enhancing
the overall well-being of the community.

4. Skill Development Programs:

• Solution:

o Set up free workshops or vocational training programs (e.g., tailoring, carpentry,

mobile repairing).

o Partner with local NGOs or businesses to provide training and certification.

Impact:
By offering skill development, residents can diversify their income sources, reducing dependence on
unstable informal jobs and creating new opportunities for economic empowerment.

Conclusion:

The survey results clearly highlight the pressing challenges faced by the residents of Sanjay Colony,
such as inadequate access to clean water, sanitation issues, safety concerns, and limited employment
opportunities. However, the strong interest in skill development programs indicates that the
community is eager for change and willing to embrace opportunities for personal and collective
growth.

By implementing targeted solutions, such as improving infrastructure, providing educational support,

enhancing safety, and offering skill training, the quality of life for the people in Sanjay Colony can be
significantly improved, creating a more sustainable and prosperous future for the community.
