In the event of unexpected or repeated deviations of the
active substance concentration from the target value, a
pharmacogenetic examination is recommended for further
clarification.
This allows the detection of genetic influences on
metabolization, which enables individual dose adjustment.
Both the targeted examination of individual genes and the
analysis of a pharmacogenetic panel are offered by our
laboratory. In most cases, these tests are not yet covered
by health insurance and must therefore be billed as IGeL
services or directly to the sender. Further information can
be found in our -Labor aktuell-
(https://www.labor-limbach.de/aktuelles/detail/getarticle/Ne
ws/detail/pharmakogenetik-pgx/).
If you have any questions about pharmacogenetic analyses,
your doctor can contact the -Molecular Endocrinology and
Tumor Diagnostics- department, which carries out these tests
(Dr. med. Jens Köhler; Tel.:06221-658883 or
molendokrinologie@labor-limbach.de).
