NARUTO: THE PAIN ARC MOVIE ADAPTATION SCRIPT
FADE IN:
EXT. RAIN VILLAGE - NIGHT
Rain lashes down relentlessly. JIRAIYA, battered and bruised, stands before SIX FIGURES.
These are the SIX PATHS OF PAIN. Their Rinnegan eyes glow eerily in the gloom.
Jiraiya, despite his injuries, manages a wry smile.
He unleashes a powerful attack, but Pain's abilities are overwhelming. Jiraiya is impaled by
black receivers. He collapses, his hand reaching out.
He sinks into the water, a final, crucial message etched onto his back.
INT. KONOHA HOKAGE'S OFFICE - DAY
TSUNADE, the Fifth Hokage, reads Jiraiya's coded message. Her face is pale. SHIZUNE and
KAKASHI stand by, grim.
She deciphers the code, revealing the true nature of Pain's abilities and the identity of the
"real" Pain.
EXT. MOUNT MYOBUKU - DAY
NARUTO, now older and more focused, is deep in Sage Mode training with FUKASAKU
and SHIMA. He sits perfectly still, absorbing natural energy. His eyes have a distinct orange
pigmentation around them.
Naruto opens his eyes, a newfound calm radiating from him.
INT. KONOHA - DAY
A chilling silence descends upon Konoha. Then, a series of devastating explosions rock the
village. Buildings crumble. Panic erupts.
The SIX PATHS OF PAIN descend from the sky. Their attacks are precise, overwhelming.
KONOHAMARU, with his ANBU team, tries to fight back, but they are outmatched.
SHIZUNE attempts to gather intelligence but is quickly cornered by the Deva Path.
He uses his REPULSION technique, obliterating a section of the village. Shizune is caught in
the blast.
EXT. KONOHA - VARIOUS LOCATIONS - DAY
CHAOS. Villagers flee. Shinobi fight desperately.
KAKASHI engages the Deva Path and the Asura Path. He uses his Sharingan and Mangekyo
Sharingan, pushing himself to his limits. He manages to disable the Asura Path but is
critically injured by the Deva Path's Shinra Tensei.
He collapses, seemingly dead.
INT. MOUNT MYOBUKU - DAY
Fukasaku senses the destruction in Konoha.
Naruto's eyes widen in shock and anger.
EXT. KONOHA - DAY
The village is a wasteland. Smoke rises from the ruins. The remaining Shinobi are exhausted,
defeated.
Suddenly, a massive explosion of smoke. NARUTO stands atop a giant toad,
GAMABUNTA, in full Sage Mode. His appearance is different, more powerful.
The villagers, battered but alive, look up in awe and hope.
EXT. KONOHA - BATTLEFIELD - DAY
Naruto confronts the Six Paths of Pain. He moves with incredible speed and precision,
utilizing Sage Art: Rasengan and other powerful techniques.
He quickly dispatches the Asura Path, whose mechanical body is no match for Sage Mode
strength.
He then faces the Human Path. The Human Path attempts to extract his soul, but Naruto's
quick reflexes and powerful Sage Mode blows prevent it. He defeats the Human Path with a
precise strike.
The Naraka Path tries to revive its fallen comrades, but Naruto anticipates its moves,
destroying it before it can heal.
The Animal Path unleashes a flurry of summons, but Naruto's Sage Mode allows him to
sense and counter them effectively, sending them back with a powerful Rasenshuriken.
The Deva Path, with its powerful repulsion and attraction techniques, proves to be the most
formidable. Naruto struggles, his Sage Mode nearing its limit.
Naruto's determination burns brighter.
He remembers Jiraiya's words, his resolve hardening. He uses a series of shadow clones to
create diversions, setting up an opportunity.
Using his powerful sensory abilities, Naruto discovers the five-second interval between
Shinra Tensei uses. He exploits this weakness, creating a giant Rasengan that smashes
through the Deva Path.
The final Path, the Preta Path, attempts to absorb Naruto's chakra. Naruto, thinking fast,
unleashes an overwhelming amount of natural energy. The Preta Path, unable to absorb it all,
turns into a stone frog.
With all Paths defeated, Naruto's Sage Mode disperses. He is exhausted but triumphant.
INT. HIDDEN LOCATION - DAY
Naruto follows the trail of black receivers and confronts the true mastermind: NAGATO, a
crippled, emaciated figure, hooked up to a complex machine. KONAN stands by his side,
wary.
Nagato recounts his tragic past, the loss of his family and friends in Konoha's war, and his
belief that true peace can only come after humanity experiences the same level of pain he has.
He reveals his connection to Jiraiya.
Naruto, despite his anger and the destruction Nagato has wrought, listens. He talks about
Jiraiya's dream, his belief in a hero who would bring true understanding. He recalls his own
pain, his loneliness, but also the bonds he forged in Konoha.
Naruto's words, filled with genuine empathy and a stubborn hope, resonate with Nagato. He
sees Jiraiya's unwavering idealism in Naruto.
Nagato makes a monumental decision. He uses his final, most powerful Rinnegan technique:
the Rinne Rebirth Jutsu. It is a technique that costs him his life, but it revives all those who
died during his assault on Konoha, including Kakashi.
Nagato dies, a peaceful expression on his face. Konan, tearfully, acknowledges Naruto as the
true heir to Jiraiya's will.
EXT. KONOHA - DAY
Miraculously, the fallen Shinobi and villagers begin to stir, revived. Confusion turns to joy
and relief.
Kakashi wakes up, disoriented, then sees Naruto walking back, exhausted but alive.
The villagers rush to Naruto, not with fear, but with overwhelming gratitude and cheers. He is
no longer just the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki; he is their hero, their savior. They lift him onto their
shoulders, celebrating his victory.
INT. HOKAGE'S OFFICE - DAY
Tsunade, looking at the revived village, smiles, tears in her eyes.
EXT. KONOHA - SUNSET
Naruto stands amidst the ruins, but there's a sense of renewed hope. The sun sets, casting long
shadows. He looks out at the village, his resolve strengthened.
The camera pulls back, showing the rebuilding Konoha, and Naruto, standing tall, ready for
the challenges ahead.
