1. What are the advantages of “Platform as a Service”? Explain with example.

2. Write short notes on :

a) Virtual Private Cloud

b) Hybrid Cloud.

3. Define and distinguish among the following terms on scalability :

a) Scalability over machine size

b) Resource Scalability

4. Compile a table to compare public clouds and private clouds in each of the following four
aspects. Also identify their differences, advantages and shortcomings. Give some examples
too :

a) Technology leveraging and IT resource ownership

b) Provisioning methods of resources including data and VM’s and their management

c) Workload distribution methods and loading policies

d) Security precautions and data privacy enforcement

5. Write and explain about programming on Amazon web services and Microsoft Azure.

6. What different techniques are used for data encryption in cloud computing? Explain in
detail.

7. Explain in detail smart cloud computing architecture by IBM.

8. Suggest five steps to reduce security breaches in cloud computing. Also discuss how cloud
security is different from other IT infrastructure hosted within an organization?
