Patents © Dr Sunny Thukral from PG Department of Computer Science & IT has got the patent for a simple but innovative software that can retrieve the symptoms of wheat allergy patients without going through expensive and painful testing procedures. Dr Sunny's patent has been registered with Indian Patent Advanced Search System and is quite helpful for celiac patients. Celiac disease is a serious autoimmune disease that occurs in genetically predisposed people where the ingestion of gluten damages the smallintestine. @ DrVibha Chopra, Assistant Professor, PG. Department of Physics and Electronics has been granted patent by the Australian Government for her invention “RGB emission and solar energy enhancement in Eu3+ and Tb3+ co- activated K2NaAIF6 down conversion phosphors by energy transmission mechanism” and another by Republic of South Africa for invention of Low Cost UV based Air Purifier. In addition, Dr. Vibha Chopra has also published 4 patents for following inventions: (i) A device for mobile phone sanitization, (ji) A sanitization device based on UV radiations, (ii) An ultra-violet sanitizer for PPE kits, Police uniform and clothes, and (iv) Automatic, microcontroller based ice defrosting instrument. © Prof. Shivani Sanan, Assistant Professor, P.G. Department of Mathematics has received patent by Govt. of India for her work on “Hybrid genetic sine-cosine optimization model’. This patent will help healthcare organizations to develop cost-effective and sustainable workforce management plan by identifying optimal locations for healthcare facilities that maximize total service coverage while minimizing inequality in access to resources. The Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Division of the Ministry of Education, Government of India is striving hard to promote interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research on all aspects of IKS.
