CAN / COULD

PRESENTE
Can - Se usa para mostrar la capacidad de hacer algo en el presente o la
oportunidad de hacerlo. Se usa también para hacer sugerencias, pedir permiso o
favores.
He understands German and he can speak it very well.
Can you show me how this works, please, Dad?

PASADO
Could - Para capacidad o habilidad en el pasado. También para hacer sugerencias
educadamente.
My sister could skate when she was five.
Could you tell me where the nearest Police Station is, please?

A. Paula has got a problem. She is outside her house. The door has closed but her bag
and key are inside. Use can or can’t + the verb in brackets.
