Employee self-evaluation is critical for various reasons. It nurtures self-awareness,
instigates accountability, underscore the areas that need improvement, and highlights
accomplishments, motivating employees to set goals and strive to better their future
performances (Vuong & Nguyen, 2022). My significant contributions programme
management, finance and budget, and administrative and human resource support impresses
me as I reflect on my performance in the past review period. I performance was anchored on
integrity, professionalism, respect for diversity, inclusion, humanity, and humility allowing
meet and surpass the success criteria, organisational expectations and standards of the
excellence. These principles enabled me to complete assigned tasks on time. This self-
performance evaluation highlights key accomplishments and competencies from my past
performance period to illustrate my value and contributions to my organisation as an
employee and team member.
Programme Management Support
One of the major contributions was supporting effective programme management,
particularly in budgeting for grants project and programme activities, and grants and Project
management activities. I released budgets in UMOJA within one week of receipt of funds
from donors, successfully rephased budgets for active and closing grants (99%), and adjusted
100% of budgets by the end of each quarter. For example, I successfully adjusted MetroHUB
WUF travel expenses from BMI IHA to RMBC Grant and rephased. The tasks met the
success criteria for budgeting for grants project and programme activities including releasing
budgets in UMOJA within one week of receipt of funds from donors, adjusting budgets by
the end of the quarter by 100% and rephrasing budgets by the end of the 1st quarter of the
year by 95%. These efforts ensured financial continuity, and precise allocating of resources
into the 2025 fiscal period.

Moreover, I reviewed Contribution Agreements, In-House Agreements and
Agreements of Corporation to ensure compliance and clarity of clauses taking note of key
areas, where I achieved a 95% success rates of timely signed compliant agreements. I also
created new grants such as the AMB Phase Three (M1-32FOD-000256), RMBC (S1-32FOD-
000236), and Bogota SDU (S1-32FOD-000271) and achieved a 99% accuracy and 80%
timely creation of new agreements of corporation in grantor module, including the UrbanPro
(1000025328) and Niger State Demonstration Project (1000019756), requested an extension
of existing contracts and 90% successfully supported the closure of grants in this duration.
These activities were in line with the 95% compliant timely signed agreements, 95% grants
created one week upon countersigning, Grantor Programs created one week upon countersign
success criteria, 95% of grants closed, 100% IPMR compliant projects at the end of every
quarter and 95% timely closure of agreements success criteria. Throughout these activities, I
was able to maintain high integrity standards and strictly adhere to UN finance and budgeting
guidelines allowing to balance between donor expectations and internal operations.
Finance and Budget Support
In the finance field, I was instrumental in ensuring a pivotal role in accounting for
cash advances and timely disbursement of funds to implementing partners (IPs), vendors and
consultants. For instance, I processed claims for CURLA-UON and NSWSC and managed
vendor payments for events like the Waste Pickers EGM and the section retreat. My financial
acumen was also demonstrated in the closure of open items, timely (100%) and accurately
(99%) updating Section Portfolio at branch and division level, closure of grants such as the
five IHA on KNUPP Phase Two, and timely and accurately analysed and provided
expenditure breakdown for projects on request. Furthermore, I created timely and precise
fund commitments and purchase orders for grants-related activities, such as the procurement
of goods and recruitment of UN Volunteers. The PO and LVAs created during this period

were paid and I was able to follow up the transactions from end-to-end to ensure completion.
This consistent delivery showcased my competencies concerning diligence, accountability
and responsiveness which a crucial for the organisation’s financial health and operational
transparency (Efunniyi et al., 2024).

Concerning administration, I proactively drafted and disseminated memo to various
internal communication including OIC, focal points, travel exceptional approval requests,
archived final project reports, letters and important communication on platforms such as
IPMR and Teams, and liaised with MACS for various clearances. I sucessfuly managed
Section inventory in liaison with MACS and Property Management Unit (PMU), where I
completed 2024 annual physical asset verification, assigning of furniture, cubicle and ICTS
hardware to new recruits. Besides, I supported procurement activities by creating Low Value
Acquisitions and coordinating with UNON Procurement to process shopping carts. This
included successfully purchasing laptops and managing inventory records with 100%
accuracy.
In the human resource field, I ensured 99% timely travel request submissions and
ticket processing for meetings such as WUF 12 and the Waste Pickers EGM. I consistently
adhered to the 21-day rule and submitted expense reports within the required timeframe. I
also Supported with creation, check for wording and alignment of TOR for new recruits and
continuing personnel to ensure alignment with the project documents, conducted interviews,
archived reports, and monitored outputs to ensure deliverables matched expectations.
Furthermore, I supported the extension of contracts for several UNVs and consultants
including Rafael, Norah, and Maria, and facilitated onboarding for new personnel like Yue
Chen and Haesung Ahn. These efforts reflected my commitment to humility, humanity,
inclusion, and respect for diversity as my approach to team development.

Reflection on My Growth Areas
While I successfully many aspects of the success criteria, I must improve efficiency in
in areas the fell below my expectations (100% success rate). For example, I achieved 80%
timely creation of new agreements of corporation in grantor module contrasted to the 95%
AoC creation success criterion. These results highlight the need to refine my time
management strategies. Moving forward, I will leverage technology and seek feedback to
sharpen my time management skills.
Conclusion
Overall, I demonstrated a consistent performance, professional integrity, and a
collaborative spirit in my performance review period. My contributions in programme and
finance management and administrative support spearheaded the project and helped maintain
