Topic: The question of the disproportionate protection risks, needs, and

challenges of women and children during humanitarian emergencies
Country: Algeria
Delegate: Babullee

Ensuring the human rights and protection of women and children constitutes a
primary global concern requiring concerted and sustained effort.Such an undertaking
will steer the international community toward a more just and unbiased societal
structure.

Today International bodies such as United Nations, made conventions like the

Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women
and the Convention on the Rights of the Child . These conventions have some
effect but the pace of change is slow and not enough. Algeria representatives are
committed to exploring and using more effective methods

Algeria strongly condemns all violence against people because of their gender. This
includes things like harm at home and unwanted sexual behavior. This violence
unfairly hurts women and girls and stops them from being safe, making their own
choices, and fully taking part in society.Algeria will undertake significant legal
reforms across various sectors, including local governance, and anti-corruption,
aiming to strengthen the rule of law, improve governance, and foster a better
economic environment., helping people who have experienced violence get justice,
and giving them complete support. Algeria also wants countries around the world to
work together more to share good ideas and find ways to stop this problem
everywhere.

Algeria will undertake actions on:

● Review and strengthen the Child Protection Act.

● Implement nationwide awareness campaigns to promote children's rights,
encourage positive parenting, and raise awareness about the harmful effects
of violence and exploitation.
● Continue to review and amend the Family Code to eliminate all remaining
forms of discrimination against women in areas such as marriage, divorce,
inheritance, child custody, and personal status. Ensure women have equal
rights and autonomy within the family.
● Ensure that women have equal
