 NGO’s stands for Non-Governmental Organizations
 NGOs play a vital role in addressing the problems of the society.
 These organizations operate independently from the
government.
 It often bridges gaps in areas where public and private sectors
fall short.
 NGOs work at local, national, and international levels.

The role of NGO’s are -

1. Provide Support System – NGOs act as a backbone for victims by offering


emotional, psychological, and financial support. They create safe spaces where
victims can seek help, share their experiences, and receive guidance without fear of
judgment or stigma.

2. Provide Rehabilitation to Victims – NGOs assist victims in rebuilding their lives


by offering shelter, financial aid, therapy, and employment opportunities.
Rehabilitation ensures victims can recover from trauma and regain independence.

3. Provide Health Care Assistance – Many NGOs provide medical aid, including
emergency care, counseling, and long-term health services to victims who have
suffered physical injuries or mental trauma. They may also connect victims with
hospitals and doctors for specialized treatments.

4. Provide Self-Defense Training to Prevent Any Kind of Victimization – NGOs


empower individuals, especially women and vulnerable groups, by providing self-
defense training. This helps victims regain confidence, develop physical strength, and
