Experience
Lance Andrei A. Libaste
Hello! I warmly welcome you to join me as I share my
journey through my Teaching Internship experiences.
My name is Lance Andrei A. Libaste, a 24-year-old
student who is currently a student teacher at the
University of Southern Philippines Foundation – Lahug
and Mabini Campuses.

My Teaching Internship has played a crucial role in my

growth as an educator, helping to shape my skills and
understanding of what it takes to be an effective
teacher. In this journal, I’ve recorded the valuable
lessons, challenges, and personal growth I’ve
experienced throughout this transformation from
student to future educator.

I aim to use this platform to share my insights,

observations, and learning experiences that I’ve gained
from witnessing classroom dynamics and the
intricacies of the educational process. This journal
represents the knowledge and passion I’ve developed
during my Teaching Internship, a time that has deeply
influenced my perspective on teaching and renewed
my excitement for this fulfilling profession.
First and foremost, I thank God for granting me the strength,
patience, and wisdom to successfully complete this journey.
To my professor, Ms. Marry Ann A. Aclao, thank you for your
unwavering guidance, encouragement, and support. Your
dedication and insightful mentorship have greatly influenced
my growth as an aspiring educator.

I am sincerely grateful to the University of Southern Philippines

campus, along with its passionate and supportive staff, for
warmly welcoming me and allowing me to learn within your
classrooms. A special thank you to our principal, Mrs. Villamor
and Coyoca, and my cooperating teacher, Mrs. Tuason and Ms.
Letlie, for your kindness, mentorship, and the valuable lessons
you’ve shared with me.

I also want to acknowledge Lea B. Ebol for generously sharing

the format and assisting me in presenting this work clearly
and effectively. To my enthusiastic students, thank you for your
energy and participation in class—you’ve made teaching a truly
fulfilling experience.

To my classmates and friends, your support, teamwork, and

shared moments of laughter made this chapter all the more
memorable.
Lastly, to my loving family—your constant love, encouragement,
and belief in me have been my greatest source of strength and
inspiration throughout this journey.

This internship has been a transformative period of growth and

learning, and I am genuinely thankful to everyone who played a

This report summarizes my Teaching Internship at the Junior
High School Department of the University of Southern
Philippines Foundation. I was assigned to the Lahug Campus
from January to February, and continued at the Mabini Campus
from March to April 11.
The internship aimed to provide hands-on teaching experience,
improve my classroom management skills, and deepen my
understanding of student-teacher interaction. It was a
meaningful journey that helped me grow both professionally
and personally.
Both campuses offered a supportive and engaging environment.
The dedication of the faculty and the energy of the students
made the experience enriching and memorable. Throughout the
internship, I took part in various activities, including:
Classroom Instruction – I observed how teachers effectively
applied strategies to teach lessons such as prepositions and
literary analysis.
Student Performances – I helped facilitate poetry
presentations and Greek comic play rehearsals, which
encouraged student creativity.
Exam Administration – I assisted in preparing and
administering exams, gaining insight into assessment
practices.
Extracurricular Events – I joined school-wide activities like
MathSci-yaw and English Month, which highlighted student
talents beyond the classroom.
Teaching Demonstrations – I conducted lessons on tone and
mood and the argumentative essay, receiving valuable
feedback to improve my teaching.
This internship has been a rewarding experience that
strengthened my passion for teaching and prepared me for the
classroom ahead.
