Subject: Letter of Explanation for Study Permit Application

Dear Visa Officer,

My name is Mankah Celevis, a 24-year-old student from Cameroon holding passport

number AA186246. I am writing to apply for a visa to study Business Administration -
Marketing at Mohawk College, Fennell Campus, in Hamilton, Canada, starting
September 1, 2024. I am committed to adhering to the rules and requirements of the
study permit issued to me. Enclosed is my Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) as
required by Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

I have a strong academic background in business administration and marketing,

holding an Advanced Level General Certificate (GCE - A level). Professionally, I am
an entrepreneur who owns and manages a hair salon and a cosmetic shop.
Additionally, I own a 3344 square meter farmland, where I cultivate coffee and
essential food items such as plantains, cassava, corn, and beans. This farmland was
inherited from my late Aunt Nangah Tamankag, and all relevant documents are
attached.

Participating in this program will significantly advance my business management and

marketing skills. The education I receive will enable me to expand my businesses,
foster customer loyalty, and ensure financial stability. Specifically, the knowledge
gained will allow me to:

Ÿ Optimize operational and financial management practices for my hair salon,

cosmetic shop, and agricultural activities in Bamenda.

Ÿ Improve marketing strategies and brand image for my salon services and agricultural
products through digital marketing, local and international advertising, and
community engagement.

Upon completing the program, I plan to leverage my skills to benefit St. Joseph
Metropolitan Cathedral in Bamenda. I aim to enhance operational efficiency and
coordinate volunteer activities for the church, strengthening its brand, promoting its
events, and increasing community engagement through digital and local channels.
Furthermore, I am committed to expanding my businesses in Bamenda, utilizing the
advanced knowledge and skills gained from my studies to grow and improve my hair
salon, cosmetic shop, and agricultural enterprises. The attached letter from the
Parochial Vicar attests to my outstanding character, integrity, and strong moral
values, demonstrating my commitment to my community.

My cousin, Priscilla Tamankag, will finance my studies and has provided a

sponsorship letter with proof of funds totalling 40,000 CAD per year to cover tuition,
insurance, living expenses, and the cost of a return ticket. The first-semester fee of
9,200 CAD has already been paid, and proof of payment is attached. Priscilla has
been my primary caregiver since I lost my parents and continues to support me
despite living in the United States. Her ongoing and unwavering support is evidenced
by her frequent visits to Cameroon, with attached pictures from her 2024, 2023, and
2022 visits. Additionally, I have 21,650 CAD saved in the AZIRE COOPERATIVE
CREDIT UNION (AziCCUL) in Bamenda, as evidenced by the attached bank
statement.

Studying at Mohawk College will equip me with valuable skills to contribute to my

community's development in Cameroon. My deep passion for my country drives my
ambition to foster the growth of digitally ready enterprises and support orphaned
individuals who will not have my same opportunities. I am committed to returning to
Cameroon to make a significant impact in honor of my late parents and for the
benefit of my community.

Please find my complete contact details at the top of this letter. I am available for any
inquiries or further information. Thank you for your attention and consideration.

Sincerely,

Mankah Celevis
