1. Introduction:
Computer Department Website is an online web site for the students and faculties. The
main purpose of this portal is to increase the relation between students and Department. It is an
interactive service for students and information seekers of Computer Science Department. It is
easy to access and use for communication between faculties and students. It can also be used for
keeping track of information and documents of students and faculties as well.
1.1Background:
People wish to see the website in an even better and organised form always. Major
inputs include all the particulars like student name, batch and various studies material etc. for all
the students in the department. Inputs include details of students and faculties. Outputs include
information about department, students result, students and faculties profile and study material
available for student, syllabus of various batches.

1.2 Motivation
Creating webpage for Computer Department and implementing it on internet is really
a great idea both for the information seekers as well as for students and faculties of department.
It greatly helps the department and other users as information about department and students is
available at any time on web. It increases the ease both for students and faculties.

2.1 Basic Terminologies:
Academics: academics module provides information about the.
Study material: This module gives the facility to read and download the study material
available on the website. The module could be edited only by the administrator of the
web portal. Any student can download the material available at any time.
Faculties: This module gives profile information of various faculties associated to the
department. It gives profile information of all the faculties. Anyone can contact to these
faculties through available email addresses.
Students: This is a separate webpage for students. They can view, edit, and update their
profile from anywhere. Student can download documents as well.

2.2 Existing System:
There is no such system available for department. The students cannot communicate
with teachers properly. There is a great problem in keeping record of daily attendance,
performance of each student, profile of each person associated with the department. There was a
lot of difficulties for the student regarding interaction with the faculties and viewing the current
updates.
2.3 Problem Statement:
The importance of a college department website, many institutions face challenges in
developing and maintaining an effective online presence. Common issues include outdated content,
complex navigation, inconsistent design, and lack of accessibility. These problems can hinder user

3.1 Software and Hardware Requirements
Here we will discuss everything we will need in order to execute. Below we list the necessary
hardware and software requirements.
1. Software Requirements:
Operating System: Any Windows Family
The choice of an operating system from the Windows family, such as Windows 10,
Windows 8, or Windows 7, provides a familiar and user-friendly environment for web
development. The Windows operating system offers robust support for various development
tools and software, making it an ideal platform for building and testing websites.
Software: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
HTML (Hypertext Markup Language): HTML is the standard markup language for
creating web pages and structuring the content on the college department website. It enables

Front end design:
Front end refers to the visual layer of website and supplications. The UI, layout, images
and other visual elements and their styling comprises of:

It is very helpful as it is a web-based application in which end user interacts with the web
app easily.
Choose working page:
This is the home screen that contains the title in the toolbar and has five links which takes
the user to five different features.
On the top right corner of title bar is a button which on clicking opens the navigation, on
which user will click.
The user also has the option of creating an account which in return store your account
information in the database.

Conclusion:
As there was no such system available for department by which the students can communicate
with teachers properly. This project will provide the students proper medium to communicate
with the faculties over there problems regarding studies and other topics. There was a great
problem in keeping record of daily attendance, performance of each student, profile of each
person associated with the department. There were a lot of difficulties for the student regarding
the current updates of the department. All the latest updates of the departments are provided on
the website, such as all the information are uploaded on the website as quick as possible.
