🔄 Overview
The Water Cycle is the continuous movement of water through Earth’s surface, atmosphere, and
underground. It’s driven by solar energy and essential for climate regulation and life.
🌊 Key Stages
1. Evaporation
Sun heats water → vapor rises from oceans/lakes.
Sublimation: Ice → vapor (skips liquid).
2. Transpiration
Plants release water vapor from leaves.
Together with evaporation = Evapotranspiration.
3. Condensation
Vapor cools → liquid droplets form clouds.
Needs condensation nuclei (dust, etc.).
4. Precipitation
Water falls as rain, snow, sleet, or hail.
5. Collection (Accumulation)
Water gathers in oceans, rivers, lakes, glaciers.
6. Infiltration & Percolation
Water soaks into ground → filters to aquifers.
7. Runoff
Water flows over land to streams and oceans.
Can cause erosion and move nutrients.

💡 Fun Fact
The same water cycles over and over — you might drink the same water a dinosaur once did!
