Description of the outfit:
Indian clothing is rich in tradition and
diversity, with garments such as the sari, salwar
kameez, and lehenga choli among the most
well-known. Each region of India has its own
variations of traditional attire, reflecting the
country's vast cultural diversity.
This image shows the sari, a traditional
garment worn by women in India. It consists of
a long piece of fabric, approximately six meters
in length, typically wrapped around the waist
with one end draped over the shoulder.
The most common materials used to make saris are
cotton, silk, or a blend of both, often embellished with
gold and silver threads, as well as threads in various
other colors.
It is a symbol of identity, tradition, respect, and
female empowerment. Its cultural significance spans
various aspects, including the way it is worn, the type
of fabric, and the choice of color.
