A guide to registering for a Singpass account
Please check that you fulfill the following eligibility
requirements:
● The minimum age requirement is 15 years old.
● You are a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident or
Foreign Identification Number (FIN) holder.
Ensure that the address on your NRIC or FIN card is correct. If you need to update your
address with the relevant authorities, please click here.

1 Go to www.singpass.gov.sg. Click ‘Register’.

2 Enter the required details and check the boxes ‘I'm not a robot’
and ‘I have read and agree to the Terms of Use’. Click
‘Submit’.

3 Read the instructions on the page and click ‘Continue’ to
proceed with Face Verification.

4 Read the guidelines on the page. To allow the use of your
device’s camera for FV, click ‘Allow’ when prompted, and click
‘Begin Scan’.

5 You will see the following notification after successful
verification.

6 Ensure your details are correct. Submit a new password in the
‘New Password’ and ‘Confirm new password’ fields and click
‘Next’.

7 You have successfully registered for Singpass account. Click
‘Proceed to set up account’.

(i) Registered postal code will be displayed for users with a Singapore-registered address.
(ii) Passport number will be displayed for users with an overseas-registered address.

8 Enter your mobile number and/or your
email address; select your preferred
mode of contact; and if you wish to go
green with paperless notification.
After that, click ‘Next’.
Alternatively, you may click on ‘Skip’ if
you do not wish to provide your contact
details.
(i) The mobile number is a mandatory field only if your registered address is a local address.
(ii) Only Singapore-registered mobile numbers can be used to set up a Singpass account and SMS 2FA.
(iii) Overseas users with an overseas-registered address are only required to provide their email address.

9a If you have provided a mobile number during the registration,
a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile
number. Enter the OTP and click ‘Next’.

a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your email.
Enter the OTP and click ‘Next’.

10 You have completed your Singpass account setup with
updated account details. You may now log in to your Singpass
account with your newly set up password.

mailed to your registered address.

4 You have successfully registered for a Singpass account. Click
‘Proceed to set up account’.

overseas registered addresses, delivery time will depend on overseas postal services.

password will be mailed to your registered address.

9 Follow the instructions in your PIN mailer and go to
https://go.gov.sg/singpass-register-otp.
Enter the one-time Singpass password in the PIN mailer.

10 Create a Singpass password consisting 8-24 alphanumeric
characters.

11 You have completed your Singpass account registration.

Look out for transactional alerts from Singpass. An SMS
or email notification is sent when changes are made to
your Singpass account, such as password change or
reset.
Keep your contact details registered with Singpass up
to date to receive these alerts promptly. If you receive
such alerts without initiating any change, you should
contact Singpass Helpdesk immediately to secure your
account.
