Driver seat assembly (power seat) can be moved forward, backward, upward and downward by track
adjusting button, and seat reclining can be adjusted by reclining power button.
Front passenger seat assembly (manual seat) can be moved forward and backward by seat track unlock
handle, and seat reclining can be adjusted by seat reclining adjuster handle.
Rear seat position is not adjustable; however, the rear seatback can be folded forward by pulling seatback
unlock mechanism assembly, to help increase the storage space of luggage compartment.

ON-VEHICLE SERVICE
Driver Seat Assembly (Power Seat)
Removal

CAUTION

 Be sure to wear safety equipment to prevent accidents, when removing seat assembly.
 Try to prevent body paint surface and carpet from being scratched or damaged, when removing seat
assembly.

1. Turn off all electrical equipment and the ignition switch.


2. Remove the driver seat headrest assembly.
a. As shown in the illustration, press the release button
of seat headrest guide (w/ button), and remove the
driver seat headrest assembly.

3. Remove the driver seat assembly.


a. As shown in the illustration, push the seat track
adjusting power button backward and move the seat
assembly to the rearmost position.

b. Remove 2 fixing bolts (arrow) from the front side of
seat assembly.
(Tightening torque: 25 ± 3 N·m)

c. As shown in the illustration, push the seat track


adjusting power button forward and move the seat
assembly to the foremost position.

d. Remove 2 fixing bolts (arrow) from the rear side of


seat assembly.
(Tightening torque: 25 ± 3 N·m)

e. Push the seat track adjusting power button to move seat assembly to mid-position. Also, operate the
seat reclining power button to move seatback to upright position.
f. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
g. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (arrow)
under the seat assembly, and remove the driver seat
assembly.

Disassembly

CAUTION

 Be sure to wear safety equipment to prevent accidents, when disassembling seat assembly.

1. Remove the driver seat (power seat) track adjusting power button.
a. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, pry
and remove the power seat track adjusting power
button.

2. Remove the power seat reclining power button.


a. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, pry
and remove the power seat reclining power button.

3. Remove the lumbar support handle.


a. As shown in the illustration, use a screwdriver
wrapped with protective tape to pry out the clip and
remove the lumbar support handle.

4. Remove the hooks connecting driver seatback sub-


assembly and seat cushion sub-assembly.

5. Remove the seat outer shield assembly.


a. Remove 2 fixing screws from seat outer shield
assembly, and disengage the claw from seat frame.
(Tightening torque: 3.5 ± 0.35 N·m)

b. Disconnect the power switch box connector (arrow)


and remove the shield.

6. Remove the power switch box.


a. Remove 2 fixing screws from power switch box.

b. Remove the connector fixing clip, and remove the

8. Remove the seat inner shield assembly.


a. Remove 2 fixing screws from seat inner shield
assembly, and remove the seat inner shield assembly.

a. Disconnect 2 wire harness fixing clips and connector
fixing clip from seat airbag.

c. Remove 4 coupling bolts between seatback sub-


assembly and seat cushion sub-assembly.
(Tightening torque: 48 ± 4.8 N·m)

a. Remove 5 hog rings (arrow) from seatback 
sub-assembly.

b. Remove the plastic lining plate of seatback.


c. Press and hold the lower part of seat headrest guide
in the direction of arrow as shown in the illustration,
and remove the driver seat headrest guide.

Assembly
Assembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.

CAUTION

 Be sure to wear safety equipment to prevent accidents, when assembling seat.


 Be careful not to damage the seat cover when assembling seat.
 Replace damaged hog rings when assembling seat.
 Keep seat cover clean and tidy, and try to prevent wrinkles when assembling seat.

Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION

 Be sure to wear safety equipment to prevent accidents, when installing seat assembly.
 Be careful not to damage the body paint surface, when installing seat assembly.
 Try to prevent carpet from being scratched or damaged, when installing seat assembly.

Inspection
After completing the installation of seat assembly, check the basic functions of seat assembly, and confirm
that the following functions operate normally:
1. When sliding seat to the foremost and rearmost positions
by moving the seat track adjusting power button forward
and backward, check if the following malfunctions of seat
occur: heavy operation, high sliding resistance, seizuring,
noise and interference between seat shield and auxiliary
fascia console occurs, etc. If above conditions occur,
repair or replace in time.

2. Adjust the seat reclining to the maximum and minimum


angle by toggling the seat reclining power button upward
and downward, to check if seatback is heavily turned
over and stuck, etc. If above conditions occur, repair or
replace in time.

3. Adjust the seat to the highest and lowest position by


toggling the seat height adjusting switch upward and
downward, to check if the operation of seat is heavy and
stuck, etc. If above conditions occur, repair or replace in 47
time.

4. Toggle the lumbar support handle upward and


downward, to check if the raising of seat is heavy and
stuck, etc. If above conditions occur, repair or replace in

to check if the operation of seat headrest is heavy and

Front Passenger Seat Assembly (Manual Seat)


Removal

CAUTION

 Be sure to wear safety equipment to prevent accidents, when removing seat assembly.
 Try to prevent body paint surface and carpet from being scratched or damaged, when removing seat
assembly.

1. Turn off all electrical equipment and the ignition switch.


2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the front passenger seat headrest assembly.
a. As shown in the illustration, press the release button
of seat headrest guide (w/ button), and remove the
front passenger seat headrest assembly.

4. Remove the front passenger seat assembly.


a. As shown in the illustration, pull up the seat track
unlock handle and move the seat assembly to the
rearmost position.

b. Remove 2 fixing bolts (arrow) from the front side of

Disassembly
1. Remove the front passenger seat track unlock handle.
a. Remove the fixing screw (arrow) from seat track
unlock handle, and remove the front passenger seat
track unlock handle.
(Tightening torque: 3.5 ± 0.35 N·m)

2. Remove the front passenger seat reclining adjuster handle.


a. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, pry
the seat reclining adjuster handle, disengage the clip
and remove the front passenger seat reclining
adjuster handle.

3. Disconnect the hooks connecting front passenger


seatback sub-assembly and seat cushion sub-assembly.

4. Remove the front passenger seat outer shield assembly.


a. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, pry
out the cover of screw (1) on outer shield. 47
b. Remove 3 fixing screws from seat outer shield
assembly, disengage the clip between outer shield
and seat frame, and remove the front passenger seat
outer shield.
(Tightening torque: 3.5 ± 0.35 N·m)

a. Remove the connector fixing clip and 2 wire harness

Inspection
After completing the installation of seat assembly, check the basic functions of seat assembly, and confirm
that the following functions operate normally:

5. Check the front passenger seat belt reminder.
a. Disconnect the front passenger seat belt reminder 47
connector (arrow).

b. Measure the resistance of front passenger seat belt


reminder with a digital multimeter according to the

Rear Seat Assembly


Removal

CAUTION

 Be sure to wear safety equipment to prevent accidents, when removing rear seat assembly.
 Try to prevent body paint surface and carpet from being scratched or damaged, when removing rear seat
assembly.

1. Remove the rear seat headrest assembly.


a. Press the handle release cover, adjust the seatback
and press the headrest release button to remove the
rear seat headrest assembly as shown in the
illustration.

2. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

CAUTION

 Try to prevent rear seat cushion frame from being deformed, when removing rear seat cushion.

a. As shown in the illustration, put your hands near the


"U" wire on one side of rear seat cushion assembly,
and then raise the rear seat cushion assembly to
separate U wire and holder assembly. 
Use the same procedure for the other side.

b. As shown in the illustration, disengage "n" wire in rear


part of cushion from Ω bracket raised out of body floor.

c. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.


3. Remove the rear seat protector assembly.
a. Remove the fixing nut from rear left seat protector
assembly and disengage the plastic hook from the
upper part of left protector.
(Tightening torque: 3.5 ± 0.35 N·m)

b. Remove the rear left seat protector assembly.


Use above procedures to remove the right protector assembly.
4. Remove the rear seatback assembly.
a. Put down the rear seatback, open the luggage compartment door, pull apart the adhesive strips and
remove the luggage compartment carpet assembly.
b. Remove 4 fixing bolts from rear seatback center
connecting bracket assembly.
(Tightening torque: 25 ± 3 N·m)

c. Remove the fixing nut (arrow) from rear left seatback


positioning holder and remove the rear left seatback
positioning holder (1).
(Tightening torque: 25 ± 3 N·m)
Use above procedures to remove the rear right
seatback positioning holder.

d. Press the handle release cover, turn over the


seatback and remove the rear left seatback.
Use above procedures to remove the rear right
seatback.

Disassembly
HINT:
 Use same procedures for rear left seat assembly and rear right seat assembly.
 Procedures listed below are for rear right seat assembly.

CAUTION

 Be sure to wear safety equipment to prevent accidents, when disassembling rear seat assembly.

1. Remove the rear right seat headrest guide.


a. Pull apart the adhesive strips, and remove 14 hog
rings from the back side of seatback.

b. Press and hold the lower part of rear seat headrest


guide indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration,
and remove the rear right seat headrest guide.

2. Remove the rear seatback release handle cover.


a. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, pry
up the claws on rear right seatback release handle
cover, and remove the release handle cover.

3. Remove the seatback lock bracket cover.


a. Remove 2 fixing screws from rear right seatback
bracket cover.
b. Separate the claw (1) and remove the seatback lock
bracket cover.

Assembly

1. Pull up the seatback release handle cover, to check if
rear seatback is heavily turned over and stuck, etc.
Repair or replace as necessary.
