1) Toyota's primary reason for migrating its high performance computing
(HPC) workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) was to improve the
efficiency of car design and development. Toyota's HPC workloads run on
OCI as part of their HPC multicloud strategy. OCI has excellent
performance, which allows Toyota to speed up computations and optimize
costs. OCI allows businesses to scale compute and storage as needed.
2) TNGA is a program of structural innovation, starting with changing the basic
architecture of vehicles. Through TNGA, we are completely remaking the
powertrain unit (engine, transmission, HEV unit) and basic frames (chassis).
3) Toyota's lead time for computing resource procurement has been
dramatically reduced since moving to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Speed, efficiency, flexibility.Toyota can now procure computing resources
in a few days, compared to more than six months in their on-premises
environment. Toyota can run computational fluid dynamics simulations on
OCI to improve the speed of computations and optimize costs.Toyota can
now flexibly test new technologies, which was difficult in their on-premises
   setup.
