This lesson will focus on vocabulary which they’re related to family members.
Main Aims
• To provide clarification, teach new words and practice them with worksheet and check them in context.
Subsidiary Aims
• To provide fluency and accuracy practice in pairs and conversation.
• To provide review the previous unit.
Background
Class profile
This is not their first sesion.I know them and I can review the last sesions . Students are teenagers and they know a kind of
basics in English so I can have more target while I’m doing the warmer in the class. The majority are girls and I have to have
more engaging activities for breaking their ice.
Assumption
The vocabularies which are in this unit could be familiar to them ; because they’re teens and they might know most of the
word so I will bring other new words as target words . This topic is used in different situations . Because of that I prepar
different activities to cover vovabularies to have a satisfied result.

Because it’s the first course which is taken by them , they don’t have alot of information abour English so I’ll use the
previous lesson and add specific information and I’ll go on .
Anticipated Problems and Solutions
• The majority of class are girls and it takes time to be more friendly with me.
I will prepared more engaging activities and I will focus on our conection .
• Two of students have better knowledge and I guess the class would be frustrating for them sometimes.
I have to balance the class knowledge and activities.

background About lead in: I will check their background knowledge by
knowledge showing some related pictures (elicit).
Finally we work on the sort text that is related to the topic
and includes new words . New words are highlighted with
red paint.
Presentation They will read the text and think of new and target words. Pictures T*Ss 12_15
MPF Then I elicit. I will adress the new words. First I work on
Clarification the meaning . I will do it with visual.Second I work on Page 19 Ss*T
pronunciation with repetition(all together and
individually).
I teach the form of the word and I prepar SYN/OPP.
Finally students are going to make sentences with given
words (clarification)
Controlled For controlled practice I prepare some crumpled papers Crumpled Ss*Ss 7_10
Practice which have defenition two family members words . papers
They’re going to write the right word og each defenition.
Then they’re going to read for their partners and partners
shoud guess the word too.
Freer Practice They will listen to the practices of page 19 ( in pairs) Listening Ss*Ss 10_12
Then they talk about the topic of listening and
relationships which they’ve heard. Page 19
