Q1. Is there any age relaxation for Reserved Category (OBC/SC/ST) Candidates?
As per rules, no age relaxation against Reserved Categories (OBC/SC/ST) is applicable under
lateral recruitment.
Q2. Can I apply for more than one posts under Advt. No. 152?
Yes, candidate can apply for multiple posts with separate application for each post.
Q3. What is the place of Posting under a particular Item No.?
Selected candidates will have the field service liability to serve anywhere in India.
Q4. Are the (*) marked Posts in Advertisement No. 152 reserved for Divyang Candidates only?
As per rules, (*) marked Posts are those vacancies which are open to all category candidates
including Divyang Candidates belonging to all acceptable Categories of Disability including
PH/HH/Acid Attack Survivors/Dwarfism while rest of the Posts are those vacancies which are
open to all candidates including Divyang Candidates belonging to two Categories of Disability
only including Acid Attack Survivors/Dwarfism
Q5. My university does not provide Class or Division while awarding the final degree, what shall I fill
in the application form?
In case a particular University / institute does not have any criteria for First Class or
equivalence, 60% marks will be taken as equivalent to first class for that University / institute.
In such cases, where conversion formula is not available, CGPA/CPI of 6.75 (for a 10 point
scale) will be taken as equivalent to 60% as per AICTE guidelines. No rounding off of marks is
permitted.
Q6. I am working in Private Sector on regular basis, do I need to submit CCA Intimation?
No.
Q7. I am presently serving in Public Sector undertaking/State Govt./Armed Forces/Autonomous
organisations on Regular basis, am I eligible for Age relaxation?
No. As per rules, the upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for serving Civilian Central
Govt. employees only.
Q8. I have been engaged as a Research Fellow in Central Govt. organisation for the past 4 years, but
application form is showing my experience as 3 years only, please check.
Maximum weightage upto 3 years only will be given for the work experience as Research
Fellow / Research Associate etc. (for every completed year of experience) and in case
candidate(s) is also possessing ME/M.Tech degree, weightage of one year only will be given for
experience apart from 2 years as weightage for Higher Qualification.
Q9. Is there any standard format for Experience Certificate?
There is not standard format for Experience certificate but the experience certificate issued
by Admin/ HR Head / Director / Cadre Controlling or Competent Authority of the
Institution/Organisation will only be acceptable. The period of experience (date of
joining/date of leaving/current job status) claimed should be easily verifiable from the salary
slips/experience certificates/Form-16A/other documents attached.

Q10. What will be the final date for calculation of Age and length of experience?
The closing date of online registration i.e. 09 May 2025 will be the final date for calculation of
Age and length of experience.
Q11. I am working as Apprentice in a Govt. organisation for the past one year, will I get the
experience weightage?
As per para-4.5 of Advt. No. 152, the period of experience rendered by a candidate on trainee,
part time basis, daily wages, Visiting/Guest Faculty will not be counted while calculating the
valid experience for short listing the eligibility of candidates for interview.
Q 12. I have been engaged as a Project Fellow/Project Associate/Research Fellow/Research
Associate/ On Contract in Central/State Govt./PSU/Autonomous organisation, do I need submit
to CCA intimation?
No, in such cases of Employment, CCA intimation is not essential.
Q13. I am registered for Ph.D. and pursuing as a student/scholar, will I get any weightage towards
research experience?
No. Weightage towards research experience will be given if PhD has been awarded or
defended only.
Q14. I am having AMIE/AMIETE/IETE in Engineering discipline, am I eligible to apply?
For AMIE/AMIETE/IETE in Engineering discipline qualification, the date of registration for this
degree shall be on or before 31 May 2013 and the proof for same has also to be uploaded
alongwith online application.
Q15. What is the difference between CCA Intimation, Declaration and Acknowledgement?

CCA(Cadre Controlling Authority) declaration is applicable to candidates (whether in


permanent or temporary capacity) working in Government or in Government owned
organizations (PSU/Joint venture, Government promoted societies and Government /
Non-Government companies / Agencies / Entities where Government or Government
promoted companies/ Agencies/Entities have a combined controlling stake of 50% or more).

CCA Intimation Such candidates before applying for any vacancy under DRDO
advertisement, have to inform their Employer / Cadre Controlling
Authority about their application for the given post.
CCA Declaration Such candidates at the time of online registration have to upload a
duly signed self-declaration in the prescribed format(available at RAC
website) undertaking that they have informed their Employer / Cadre
Controlling Authority about their application in DRDO
CCA Such candidates if shortlisted & called for final personal interview,
Acknowledgement have to submit the Acknowledgement from CCA(in original) regarding
their application for the said post at the time of interview.
Q16. I am not having any salary slip for my previous experience, how can I complete my application?
You may upload Form-16A for the respective year in place of Salary slips.
Q17. What is the purpose of notarized affidavit for name correction?
In case of mismatch of candidate or parents’ name in the application with those present in
any of the attached documents, notarized affidavit highlighting the mismatch and the correct
name(s) shall be submitted within prescribed time limit.
Q18. I am presently working in State Govt./PSU/Autonomous organisation on regular basis, am I
eligible for age relaxation?
Age relaxation in upper age limit is applicable to applicants working as Civilina Central Govt.
Employees on regular basis only
