Nano-Technology

•Definition and how it works

Nano technology refer to a branch of science pushing the boundaries of size into nanoscale
Nanoparticles are adjusted from sizes and shapes to produce techs on a nano level.

•Current applications

-Self healing fabrics and ballistics

-anti fog windows, scratch resistant materials to conductive materials

-light weight vehicles

-carbon fiber

•Benefits and challenges

Nano tech circles around the unseen components of materials. Having endless possibilities to
improve and create new tech from quality of life to ground breaking replacements of current materials
Nano materials has multiple disadvantages such as pollution and ecological harm, it can also harm living
beings with its ability to be inhaled by our bodies with their sizes accumulating to pose a significant
health risk interacting with cells without known results. Scalability of these materials are not up to par
with the current tech. economic shift and loss of jobs due to the significant improvement nano tech has
to offer.

•Impact on different industries (education, healthcare, business, transportation, etc.)

Loss of jobs due to its potential to create new technology to replace the old traditional ways.
Unknown effects to interacted cells when inhaled. Market shift causing old technology to be irrelevant.
But despite the set backs it drastically improves quality of life and provide endless possibilities in all
aspects mentioned.

•Future trends

New medical procedures to specifically target cells possibly becoming a cure for ailments
without known cure.

Increased reliability of used materials for deep space exploration, providing more durable and
lighter space crafts.
