Sub: Facilitation Camp onUnified Pension Scheme (UPS).

The Unificd Pension Scheme (UPS) has been introduced as an option under the
National Pension System (NPS) by the Central Government for the Central Government
employees covered under NPS so that they may receive an assured payout after their retirement.
The Central Government employees, who are covered under NPS, are eligible to submit their
option for UPS under National Pension System. The UPS ensures financial security post
retirement with fixed pension calculations and inflation protection. Many staff have doubts
regarding choosing their option between the two Pension Schemes.
In this connection, Facilitation Camps will be organized in each unit of KGPW
on the Unificd Pension Scheme (UPS),to cducate, clear doubts and create awarencss amongst the
NPS subscribers about the scheme's benefits,procedure and compliance requirements. The staff,
under your control and covered under NPS, may be advised to attend the said Camps as per the
schedule of Annexurc-A :
The concerned SSEs of the Shop units may be advised to provide necessary
assistance to conduct the Felicitation Camps on UPS in their Offices or Shop premises.
Also, aHELP DESK (UPS) has been set-up in the Office of WPOKGPW to
provide necessary assistance to the employees regarding Unified Pension Scheme.
