Lesson Plan (Lexis)

The idiom revision from the previous lessons (couch potato, be crazy about something, drive somebody crazy) *Put the idioms on the board and ask the students if they remember them. Elicit their meanings, ask for examples.

Have the students work in groups of four/five. Hand out the idioms and their meanings. Ask the students to match the idioms with their meanings. Go over their answers.

Tell the students that you are going to show them slides S S with sentences part of which is underlined. They need to read the sentences carefully and replace the underlined part with the proper idiom. They first work individually. After they are finished, have them work in pairs and compare their answers. Go over the answers and correct if necessary.
