Patta

 Purpose: Serves as proof of ownership of a land parcel.


 Content: Includes owner's name, survey number, subdivision number, extent of land,
and land type (wet/dry).
 Maintained by: Taluk Office (Revenue Department).
 Urban Planning Role: Helps verify ownership before approving land use changes,
building plans, and public project proposals.

2. Chitta

 Purpose: Classifies land as agricultural or non-agricultural and indicates ownership.


 Content: Name of landholder, classification of land (Nanjai - wetland / Punjai - dry
land), survey number.
 Maintained by: Village Administrative Officer (VAO) and Taluk Office.
 Urban Planning Role: Useful in land use planning, especially while converting
agricultural lands for urban development.

3. Town Survey Land Register (TSLR)

 Purpose: Urban equivalent of Patta and Chitta; provides details for properties in
towns and cities.
 Content: Ownership, old and new survey numbers, extent of land, type of use
(residential, commercial, etc.).
 Maintained by: Town Survey Department, Commissioner of Land Administration.
 Urban Planning Role: Used for urban land records, taxation, Floor Space Index
(FSI) calculations, and planning permissions.

4. Adangal (Village Account No. 2)

 Purpose: Records agricultural operations and land use pattern.


 Content: Crop cultivated, irrigation method, landholder name, area under cultivation.

5. A-Register

 Purpose: Base land record used for tax and ownership tracking.

ward-level spatial data.

6. Encumbrance Certificate (EC)

 Maintained by: Sub-Registrar Office under Registration Department.

7. Field Measurement Book (FMB)

8. Land Survey Records

10. Settlement Register

11. Land Ownership Certificate (LOC)
