Performance Contract

{Name}, henceforth known as “Client,” agrees to hire {Name}, henceforth known


as “Artist,” for a performance at {location} on {date}.

Furthermore, the two parties agree to the following:

Artist will perform {music, magic show, etc.} at {location} on {date}, for a
period of {one hour, three hours, etc.}, beginning at {time}.

The performance will specifically consist of {details of the performance}.

Client will pay artist {amount in dollars} as compensation for this performance,
payable via {check, money order, cash, etc.} and according to the following
plan: {details of the payment, such as any deposit, or any installment plan}.

Setup for the performance will be the responsibility of {Artist or Client}. {If
Client is responsible, indicate what he/she will provide, such as sound
equipment, for the Artist for this performance}.

Client will provide {additional assistance such as engineers, setup


assistants, etc., if applicable}.

Client will also provide {indicate if Artist will be provided with


accommodations, if applicable}.

If Client cancels the performance with less than {amount of time} to go until
performance date, he/she will pay Artist {amount in dollars}.

Artist may cancel the performance {any conditions under which the artist can
cancel, and what will occur if there is a cancellation}.

This contract is enforceable according to the laws and regulations of the state of
{State}.
