Compare People.

Son aquellos adjetivos que usamos para hacer comparaciones entre personas en relación
a una cualidad.
Estos son adjetivos que nos dicen algo sobre un sustantivo, los comparativos indican que
una persona o cosa es más [adjetivo] que otra persona o cosa.
Podemos encontrar este tipo de adjetivos de las siguientes formas:
 Adjetivos cortos: una sílaba, o dos terminados en «y»
Algunos ejemplos de estos son:
Thin agregándole –er. seria Tiner.
Happy cambiamos la “Y” por “i” y agregamos –er. Seria Happier.
Big doblaríamos la consonante y agregamos –er. Seria Bigger.
Busy cambiaríamos la “Y” por “i” y agregamos –er. Seria Busier.
 Adjetivos largos: dos sílabas (no terminadas en «y») o más
Algunos ejemplos de estos son:
Excited, solo agregamos “more” antes del ajetivo. Seria More Excited.
Nervous, seria More Nervous.
Beautiful, seria More Beautiful.
 Adjetivos irregulares
Algunos ejemplos de estos son:
Bad que cambiaria a Worse.
Good que cambiaria a Better.
Little que cambiaria a Less.
Su regla gramatical indica:
Para formar un adjetivo comparativo, agregamos "-er" como terminación del adjetivo.
Si el adjetivo termina en "-y", cambiamos esta última letra por "-i" y después agregamos
el sufijo o terminación "-er".
Si el adjetivo termina en consonante - vocal - consonante, y el acento de la palabra va en
la última sílaba, duplicamos la última consonante y añadimos el sufijo "-er".
Después del adjetivo con su respectiva terminación, debe ir la palabra than para
establecer la comparación.
Compare people.
They are those adjectives that we use to make comparisons between people in relation to
a quality.
These are adjectives that tell us something about a noun, comparatives indicate that a
person or thing is more [adjective] than another person or thing.
We can find this type of adjectives in the following ways:
• Short adjectives: one syllable, or two ending in "y"
Some examples of these are:
Thin adding –er. It would be Tiner.
Happy we change the “Y” to “i” and add –er. Would be happier.
Big we would double the consonant and add –er. Largest series.
Busy we would change the “Y” to “i” and add –er. Busy Series.
• Long adjectives: two syllables (not ending in "y") or more
Some examples of these are:
Excited, we just added “more” before the adjective. I would be more excited.
Nervous, it would be More Nervous.
Beautiful, it would be More Beautiful.
• Irregular adjectives
Some examples of these are:
Bad that would change for the worse.
Well, it would change for the better.
Little that I would change to Less.
Its grammatical rule indicates:
To form a comparative adjective, we add "-er" as the ending of the adjective.
If the adjective ends in "-y", we change this last letter to "-i" and then add the suffix or
ending "-er".
If the adjective ends in consonant - vowel - consonant, and the stress of the word is on the
last syllable, we double the last consonant and add the suffix "-er".
After the adjective with its respective ending, the word that must come to establish the
comparison.
