 Possessive Adjectives
We use possessive adjectives for ownership and
relationships. Possessive adjectives go before nouns.

Whose cell phone is this?

Possessive Adj. + noun.
It is my cellphone.

It is their cellphone.
It is our cellphone.
 Possessive Pronouns
We use possessive pronouns for ownership. They come after
the verb be. Use whose to ask about ownership.

Verb be + P. Pronoun.
It is mine.
It is yours.
It is hers.
It is his.
It is theirs.
You can also use belong to to talk about It is ours.
ownership: It’s mine. = It belongs to me.
