LEARN A LITTLE ABOUT ELECTRICAL ENERGY
Introduction
My name is Alfonso Yoval Hernandez, I am a student of mechanical and electrical
engineering at the University of Veracruz, in this work. In this work, I am going to talk
about electrical energy. I am talk about this topic because we always use it and are in
contact with this resource. This topic is very important to me because it is one of my
studies, and I have been learning how to use it.

What is electricity?
Electricity is a form of energy created by the movement of electrons. This flow travels
through conductors like copper wires. It powers electronic devices, lights, and motors. We
use electricity in homes, schools, and industries every day. Without it, most machines and
technologies would not work. Electricity makes our life easier.
What is an electrical circuit?
An electric circuit is a closed path through which electric current flows. It includes wires, a
power source, switches, and loads like bulbs or motors. When the circuit is open,
electricity stops. When it is closed, energy moves and devices work. Circuits can be simple
or complex. They are essential for making electronic and electrical systems function.
Types of electric current
Direct Current (DC)
Direct current flows in one direction only.
It comes from batteries and cells.
It is used in phones, flashlights, and toys.
It is stable and easy to store.
It does not change direction when it works.
lternating Current (AC)
Alternating current changes direction many times per second.
It is the current that comes from wall outlets.
It is used for appliances like TVs and refrigerators.
It can travel long distances through wires.
It is made in power plants.
Where does electricity come from?
Electricity comes from renewable and non-renewable sources. Renewable sources include
sunlight, wind, and moving water. Non-renewable sources like coal and gas are burned in
power plants. Batteries store energy for portable use. Each source changes another type
of energy into electricity. These methods allow us to power cities, machines, and everyday
tools like phones and lights.
Electrical safety
Electricity is helpful but must be used safely. Never touch outlets with wet hands or insert
objects into sockets. Damaged cords and devices can cause shocks or fires. Always report
problems to an adult. Use plug covers and keep water away from electronics. Following
basic safety rules helps prevent accidents and keeps everyone safe at home and school.
Conclusion
In the conclusion, the electricity is very important energy that we use every day. It comes
from different sources and travels through circuits to make our things work. We need to
learn how to use it safely to avoid accidents. In addition, we must protect the planet by
using clean energy and saving power.
