ABSTRACT
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This research analyzes the e-commerce phenomenon and its effects on the global supply chain management
domain. The study reveals how technological advancement and the rising popularity of online shopping
have transformed supply chains into more agile, information, intelligence, and customer-driven systems.
Specific focus areas include the contribution of real-time inventory control, artificial intelligence, ERP
systems and IoT towards efficiency, precision and responsiveness. Issues of overflowing inventory,
inadequate resource utilization and tardy deliveries are examined along with newer solutions such as digital
twins and circular supply chains. The results reveal the growing need for variable supply chains and those
integrated with information infrastructure to retain market leverage within a digital economy.
