INSTITUTION ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar established in 1975 under the aegis of Apeejay Education Society with late Dr. Stya Paul as its revered chairman, has forayed into a multidimensional, multifaculty, premier institution encompassing a rare blend of tradition and modernity. Apeejay is totally committed to the cause of quality education and is running as many as 27 educational institutions in different parts of the country. University Grants Commission (UGC) has declared it as a Center of Excellence under the 11th plan. Moreover, Apeejay has been awarded A grade during the re-accreditation process by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore with the phenomenal score of 3.45 on a 4 point scale. Another feather in the cap of Apeejay was added with its 12th consecutive victory in the Inter Zonal Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Youth Festival and Inter University North Zone Youth Festival. It is a matter of great pride for Apeejay that it has international collaborations with foreign universities for educational and cultural exchange programs. The dedicated faculty of Apeejay constantly updates its knowledge by giving nation wide performances, participation in exhibitions, workshops and seminars of the highest order.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Apeejay introduced the Department of Commerce and Management in 1996 offering various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Focusing on the development of the new cadre of business professionals with the global vision, the department constantly organizes national and international programs. The department has been making its contribution in the complex and multidisciplinary field of management through an International refereed journal entitled Envision which endeavors to promote and disseminate knowledge in various areas like finance, marketing, human resource management, international business, risk management, globalization and related areas. The department has a strong track record of 100% results and coveted university positions as also fruitful placements of its alumni in the corporate sector across the globe.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
International Conference on Transcending Barriers: A Global Perspective in International Business 2012 aims at reflecting on the strategic issues concerning international business in view of the policy shifts taking place in India concerning trade and investment liberalization, technological innovation and the reduction of communication costs, entrepreneurship and global social networks. The conference aims to provide a platform for the corporate leaders, management practitioners, academicians and students to deliberate on various issues, challenges, strategies and innovations required by corporate sector for managing the business organizations in the complex, highly competitive global environment and ensuring the long-term development and growth.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The abstract must indicate clearly the Title of the Paper, Name, Address, E-mail ID and Contact Number of the author(s). It should include the rationale, objectives, methodology and expected contribution. The length of the abstract should not exceed 250-300 words. The full paper should not be more than 5000-6000 words, with 12 font size, Times New Roman and single line spacing.

All papers submitted will be reviewed through a double blind review process. The selected papers will be published in the edited book bearing ISBN. Best empirical Refereed Envision. papers will be published in International Refereed ISSN journal Envision.
ACCOMMODATION
If requested, participants will be provided paid accommodation in the nearby hotels, subject to availability.
REGISTRATION REGISTRATION FEE
Registration fee is `2000 for participants from India and $100 for participants from other countries. Registration fee for just attending the conference is `1500 `1500. Registration fee covers the conference kit, conference proceedings and conference meals. It, however, does not include hotel accommodation and transport facility. Co-author(s) have to register separately for the conference. Registration fee once paid would not be refunded. No TA/DA will be paid.
