Mathematics Write the following activities in your lab file.
Activity 1: To get familiar with the ideas of probability of an event through a
double-colour card experiment.
Activity 2: Collect the height(in cm) of 40 people of your locality, then prepare the
grouped frequency distribution table of size 10cm. Find the mean, mode and median of
the above collected data. Compare
Activity3:To verify the conditions of consistency/inconsistency for pair of linear
equations in two variables by graphical method.
Activity 4:To derive distance formula.
Activity 5:To derive section formula.
Activity 6: To verify that the tangents drawn from same external point are equal in
length.
Science Note:
1. All the aims of experiments must be written in the index.
2. Each experiment must be started from a new page.
3. Draw the diagrams wherever drawn from your lab manuals (if possible).
4. Observation tables must be drawn on the right-hand side ruled page only.
5. Diagrams must be drawn on white blank page neatly with pencil only.
6. Do not use the multi- coloured pens. Black pens can only be used for the
headings.
7. Do your work neatly.
8. The practical work is included in your Subject Enrichment Activities and hence
carries marks.
Physics- Write the following experiments in your Physics practical file:
1. Determination of the focal length of: i) Concave mirror ii) Convex lens by
obtaining the image of a distant object.
2. Tracing the path of a ray of light passing through a rectangular glass slab for
different angles of incidence. Measure the angle of incidence, angle of
refraction, angle of emergence and interpret the result.
3. Studying the dependence of potential difference (V) across a resistor on the
current (I) passing through it and determine its resistance. Also plotting a graph
between V and I.
4. Determination of the equivalent resistance of two resistors when connected in
series and parallel
