Today I'm going to talk to you about the best


snow festival in the world. The Sapporo Winter Festival in Japan.
This festival is held every year in February and is one of the most
important winter events in the country, attracting more than two million
visitors from all over the world.

(10)The main attraction of this festival is the snow and ice sculptures,
many of which are gigantic. The festival is divided into three main venues:
Odori Park, Susukino Park, and Tsudome Park.

(25)Odiri Park is in the center of the city. This is where the largest and
most detailed snow and ice sculptures are located. Some sculptures are
over 15 meters tall. Here, there are sculptures of historic castles, anime
characters, Asian temples, and cultural scenes. At night, these sculptures
are illuminated with colorful lights and music.

(20)While in Susukino, better known as Sapporo's entertainment district,


the ice sculptures are smaller but just as detailed. They even have lights
inside the ice sculptures. The main event is a competition where artists
from around the world compete.

(20)On the other hand, Tsudome, which is a more family-friendly area, has
more activities for everyone. Here, people can ride giant snow slides,
drive snowmobiles, and enter snow mazes, while children have a special
play area. Another tourist attraction is traditional Hokkaido food, such as
hot soups, skewers, seafood, and traditional sweets.

Finally, the festival features many cultural events, such as traditional


dances, open-air concerts, and sculpture projections. Here you can enjoy
art, entertainment, and food.
