These are the Types of Speech Style according to Martin Joos (1959)
1. INTIMATE – is a non-public speech style that ues private vocabulary
and include nonverbal messages.
Example:
The courting stage between two adults
2. CASUAL – is a speech style used among friends and acquaintances
that do not require background information.

3. CONSULTATIVE – is the opposite of the intimate style because this
