Hello, my name is Kiều Thị Hòa. I was born on June 17, 1985, I am 40 years old, and I live in Ho Chi Minh
City. I am married and have two children (a son and a daughter).
I am a civil engineer in transportation construction and have obtained a Master’s degree in this field. At
present, I am a student in English Language of an online program at Hanoi Open University.

The last English class I attended was five years ago. While I was studying, the COVID-19 pandemic broke out,
so I decided to stop. Since my English is not good, I only learned basic communication. My teacher is a British,
but he spoke Vietnamese very well.

I started learning English in grade 10. Back then, I was in the A-stream, so I focused only on three main subjects:
Math, Physics, and Chemistry, which made my English weak. Since then, I have taken a few English courses, but
they were not very effective. Now, my children are learning English very well, which motivates me to try harder.
I really like English and am determined to master it.
