INTRODUCTION :
Forests are incredibly diverse ecosystems that cover about 31% of the world's land area. They
are home to more than 80% of terrestrial species of animals, plants, and fungi. Forests are vital
for life on Earth as they provide a wide range of ecosystem services. They play a key role in
regulating the climate by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen through the process
of photosynthesis. They also help in conserving water, preventing soil erosion, and maintaining
biodiversity. There are different types of forests, including tropical, temperate, and boreal
forests, each with unique characteristics and species. For example: Tropical forests: Found near
the equator, these forests have high rainfall and biodiversity, including species like orangutans,
tigers, and countless insects and plants .Temperate forests: Located in the temperate zone,
these forests experience seasonal changes and are home to species like deer, bears, and many
deciduous trees. Boreal forests (taiga): Found in the northern hemisphere, these forests have
cold climates and are dominated by coniferous trees like pines and spruces. Forests are not only
crucial for the environment but also for human well-being. They provide resources such as
timber, fuel, and medicinal plants, and they are important for recreation and cultural activities.
However, forests are under threat from deforestation, climate change, and other human
activities, making conservation efforts essential to ensure their sustainability for future
generations.

Bahada, Arjun, Palash,
Sissoo, Sunari, Hinjala, and Kujri. These trees form a dense

climbers, adding to its biodiversity. The vegetation is typical
of dry deciduous forests, with species adapted to the region's
