INTRODUCTION
“What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you
want to make.”-Jane Goodal
That’s what life teach us, because in everything we do we have our own choices and
chances that may reflect us on who we want to be in the future. Welcome to my portfolio. I’m
Aigen Teodoro Constantino a graduating BSED-ENGLISH Student of Cabarrus Catholic
College. I choose this course because I want to inspire every individual to make a difference. A
difference that could empower them to awaken the minds and touch the hearts of every
individual. And for me, teaching is the right track where I can fully achieved my goal with love
and satisfaction. I present this portfolio to show and explore you more about my philosophy of
teaching and experiences during my practice-teaching.
Practice teaching is one of the most exciting part in which it develops our learnings when
we are in the last journey of our studies. These help us to be more creative and flexible as a
student teacher. It give us a chance to experience the life of actual teaching environment that
guide us to become a productive one. The different opportunities and experiences aid us to meet
the different challenges of real learning situations. It also provide necessary strategies and style
needed in teaching. In this portfolio, presents an overview of my experiences while I am in a
field of teaching including different demonstration I’ve done during my internship, activities and
making lesson plan. In here, documented my learning growth towards a productive teacher and
help me define my teaching philosophies and style. Teaching is not an easy task and we need a
lot of patience, understanding and become more optimistic in everyday life. It also requires a
great effort, time and energy. I discover that being a teacher should have a skills that help every
students learned in an effective way. With the diversity of leaners which has become the
foremost concern now a days, future educators must be fully equipped with knowledge, skills
and strategies to attain efficiency, effectiveness and different challenges in the field of teaching.
Educators says that teaching can be rewarding life work wherein we touch the hearts and
open the minds of every individual that can greatly affect them. These works summarize all my
experiences and learnings during my entire practice-teaching journey. By discovering my skills
and capabilities as a student-teacher and visualizing the difference that made an impact on
themselves. An impact that made them smile that they deserve the education they want and
seeing them learning and growing is one of my satisfaction. All in all, these piece of works
showing my experiences reflect who I am as a student.
Personal Educational Philosophy
Being a teacher is often considered to be one of the most satisfying professions around
and for me it is a blessing that touch the heart of every individual. We, as future educator are not
only nurturing the mind but we are making them a person they want to be in the future. We are
the one who help them to start their journey and to discover the unknown of their life. Teacher
are like the building blocks of society who educate every individual and make them a better
human.
When we are in the four corner of the classroom, we are not only seeing them as a
student but in our classrooms are the future… (future engineer, doctor and especially a teacher). I
believe that a great teacher is one who does not merely focus on the academic performance but
also in overall development of a students. Added also in my educational philosophy that each
child must have their own unique ways of learning by providing each individual the good
environment which is conducive to learning. As educator, we need to guide and assist them on
their learnings that practice their skills and knowledge to become more efficient and effective
student. We knows that teaching is a process of learning from your different environment and
most especially from the community of where they belong. It is a process in which they can learn
new ideas, knowledge, lesson from different experiences and strategies. We can’t deny the fact
that change may happen on their learning process but they need to embrace the change so that
their growth of learning development will become more productive.
A teacher is everything. As future educator, we need to make sure that we can create
something new and unique which students learn better and ensures learning efficiently and
effectively. We expand their knowledge and will continue to provide answers on their questions.
Most especially, a great teacher are willing to help students to understand their value and make
themselves humble before their students and that’s conclude my philosophy of education and
these all things what makes a great teacher.

PHOTO ESSAYS OF MY COOPERATING TEACHER
Mr. Roberto H. Divinagracia, LPT.
Sir Robert is my first cooperating teacher as I enter my internship. One
of my first impression for Sir Robert is that he is a workaholic person, wherein
he still manage his time on being a teacher and a Brgy. Official here in San
Jose. During my first day, he give us a task to check all the papers of first year
students. He become our guide on what are the good things to do in order to
become a one of a kind teacher.
Mrs. Anabelle A. Rafinian, LPT.
She is a woman with respect and that is Miss Rafinian for me. She is the
principal of High school and have a huge responbilities as a teacher. As I
enetered on high school department I become more responsible and always on
time because of what I’ve learned and observed from Miss Rafi. She is always
on time, checking all the documents first as she arrived early in school and
making sure that each responsibilities are perfoermed well. For her, studying
becomes not tiring for the reason of she did not stop upgrading herself. She’s
also a kind teacher and remain humble despite of all her achievement in life.
During my first day, there are different task given to us as her intern student. We have our own different
assignment that need to be done productively. There’s a lot of lesson I’ve learned from Miss Rafi and
one of this is to act professionally and ready to take risk in making decision.
Sir Glenn Gallenero, LPT
A man I admired the most as I entered here in CCC. An instructor for
Theology and Ethics that leave a few words but marks a lesson on our life as an
individual. For me, Sir Glenn is one of a kind teacher because the way he teach
touch the mind and a heart of every student. He also imparted life’s lesson by
sharing it on his class. When he was my cooperating teacher he become a
recollection master for the lower class, wherein we have our own different task
given and I assigned as one of his assistant during the recollection. He has a
kind heart and one of the founder of Mission Tatap that help some people who are in need. The way he
teach reflects and mirrored as who and what he is as a person. He always serve respect and appreciate and
value each opionion and ideas of heis students. For me, Sir Glenn is a great teacher.
Miss Mary Anne M. Diaz, LPT
A down to earth, dillegent and admirable. She is my last cooperating
teacher as an intern student. Miss Diaz is the assistant Miss Rafinian wherein
she assigned on the different academic records of the students from Kinder
to Senior high. During my first duty, she oriented us first on what are the
things should be done everyday. Just imagine the works of the assistant of principal and assigned on the
academic record of every student it was a tiring yet always ended up a productive day. I’ve learned the
different experiences with patience each day. As I become her intern and saw her situation, I become
more motivated on how to handle and manage the task given. She taught me the different strategies oh
how to cope up the difficulties as a teacher. You desrve more Miss Diaz. May God bless you always!
A Narrative of My Different Experiences of My Internship
“The secret to getting ahead is getting started.”- Uconn
As I entered the life of being college student it was easy for me and I never imagined
what it will bring into my life as an ordinary person. Education is not my choice but as what they
say it’s still a choice. Internship is the most awaited to be experienced to really define the course
you entered. By this, you can encountered lots of challenges and to know about how you deal
with those challenges that comes. Being an Educator is a sincere and heartfelt willingness you
must share and give. During my internship I felt so excited because I imagined the life of my
future. I’ve encountered different cooperating teacher and fellow intern student. They taught me
on how to handle the different traits I faced each day.
Every new day brings a new experiences that impart me a new life’s lesson and how to
put and reflect it unto myself. When I was intering the college depertament where I was assigned
on my first rotation as an intern student it spring up the new beginning that may add up to my
new experiences as a future educator. During my first week, I was assigned in college
department and there are lot of modules that need to be check. The following day I find it boring
and not a productive one. Soon it added when there are some students doing their demonstration
and there are no students available. We, my fellow intern students serve as student so that she
can finished her demo with a productive experience. As day went on, I find it so hard for me
during my demonstration where in my teacher said that my student will also my fellow student
but suddenly it change because my teacher said that there will be some student who will attend
my demonstration. It was one of our challenges as an intern because we don’t who will be our
students during our demonstration. My practice teaching in college department is not so
productive enough to equipped us a future educator but somehow it also depends on our
cooperating teacher and their task given for us as their intern. But when Miss Dinglasan made a
rotation and I was assigned on highschool department there are lot of changes and differences
occurred. My first day, I considered it as a successful one because it taught me the different
responsibilities that teacher should hold. I encoded a lot of records of the different students and
checked some modules returned by students. We are also assigned during retrieval and
distribution of modules. These experiences mold me on how to become a efficient and effective
teacher someday. It was exhausting but it developed my growth to become a well-oriented and
upgraded myself professionally. It also give us the opportunity to learn and grow on the process
of becoming a future educator,
These sum-up my experiences during my internship though it was not fruitful because of
our situations facing the pandemic and experienced the devastated life after Odette but somehow
equipped and aid me to become an effective teacher. I realize that teaching is a lot of hardwork
and patience but I am willing to give my best and effort so that students can receive a great
education that they deserve.
A Narrative Of the Best Learning Experiences I’ve Gain in My Demo Teaching
Teachers are the one that awaken the mind of every students. They are the one that gives
hope and certainties for those who face uncertainties in life. As teacher, we serve as the model of
our students. We need to live what we teach and be a good example on our students. My
experiences brought me into the next level where in I’ve learned different techniques and
strategies in teaching. The values you need to impart to your students on how they connect your
lesson on their real life situation.
When my teacher gives me my topic I was so observant of what/who are the students I
will going to demonstrate but first I need to prepare my lesson plan. As a teacher, I need to
prepare a lesson plan that fits to the learner’s level, needs, and interest. Also thinking what are
the techniques that need to apply in order to alligned the learning objectives or outcomes on my
activities given, which is also fun and bring them an excitement while learning. During my
demonstration in BSED-English C I found it more challenging wherein they felt sleepy and
starving because it was already 11 in the morning. Then I find some strategy to get them
involved in my lesson. So I decided to include some joke that also connected in my lesson to
awaken them. Soon they become cooperative and I become more confident on my lesson that it
will be successfully done. Then, there was a moment that one of my student question about my
lesson where in she become confused of what I’ve tackled and there is a small debate between
me and her. So I was so happy of what was happened because through her question I found it
that she’s listening and learrning about our lesson until I finished my evaluation and checked that
mostly of them got the passing score. After the past few days, our teacher announced on our GC
that we will be having a video demonstration equivalent to 2 demo with the same topic. It was a
next challenge for me on how to become more creative and smoothly discuss productively my
lesson. I put a lot of patience while editing my video and make sure that I apply the learning
objectives that suit the learners’ needs. It was exhausting process yet it ended fruitfully wherein
my learning outcomes/objectives alligned on my actvities.
Learning is a proces. It does not happen all at once, but it takes time in order to learn new
things from our experiences and knowledge we taught from our students. Knowledge can also be
give and take. Where in while we are teachingb our students we are not only the one who give
knowledge and lesson but also us. We can also get knowledge from them then it may also give
us lesson that we can reflect on ourselves. As a teacher we need to remember the things that what
makes a great teacher. And that is putting our heart on it and become more passionate that give
possivity on every student to learn.
