I appended a Action Replay Max cheat disc onto an iso of my MK Shaolin monks game.
This allowed me to use characters I normally would not be able to use during the
story mode. I rebuilt some of the ARMax's files to create my own MK-themed splash
screen.
I used 2 types of codes for the project. The first lot (not marked in the check-
boxes in the vid) are "hardwired" codes, and cannot be used to start the game with.
They are used to allow play with the extra characters from any save point. The
"checked codes" allow play with the other characters from the very start of the
game. I managed this by creating my own Joker-hex edit codes, it would allow me to
play as the extra characters by pressing L1, R1, L2 or R2 after choosing the
normal characters. In the vid, you can see the names come up as I press the
buttons, but the game will not progress unless you first choose an original
character.
I also hex edited the game SLUS file so that the display would be at 16:9 instead
of 4:3. It's not really all that visible in the vid, but you can actually see more
of the stage this way.

I am no longer using the "hardwired codes", and now only use my Joker Codes
activated by pressing a combination of keys.

(Use a hex-editor to find and replace the values within the SLUS-21087 first to
make the game run in 16:9 format, you can do this right after you have extracted
the game files in preperation for combining your game with the ARMax disc)
