new means of brainwashing and
controling military assets.

behind during a site wide
lockdown.
Your_PROBLEM
As a result of the lockdown
power has been diverted from
the contaiment cells.
Unleashing a terror of steel
and flesh upon the halls and
sealing the only exit shut.
user_manual
In this module your players will not be their
player characters instead they will act as
researchers controlling the SUBJECTS through the
manikin protocol. always highlight this
distinction especially when confronting The
Kindless and in the final moments of escape.
Players may also choose to play as SUBJECTS but
must be aware that until their character fails a
sanity or fear save they will be under a the
control of the Manikin Protocol.
This is a high stress game where players are at
high risk from panic rolls and are at a staunch
disadvantage against their enemy.
the_manikin_protocol
Manikin Subjects are secured and
programed with a set of skills for a
variety of tests
Their abilities preloaded through
cybernetics and mental conditioning
Each subject can be a random character
Manikins are remotely controled thanks
to a Cybernetic CMD Implant
Any failed sanity or fear saves risks
temporarily freeing the subject from
control and becomes either a PC or NPC
If 2 or more Manikins are freed at one
time the control system will break
down freeing all subjects.
To free all subjects your must
deliberately put them into harms way.

SUBJECT CONTAINMENT
CODENAME: KINDLESS
A bio-mechanical weapon that gains the intelect of those it
devours. Currently moves in a bestial prepubescent state but
with each turn it will get progressively smarter and change
tactics.
Please consult the tactics chart and feel free to devise
your own as The Kindless develops.
KINDLESS Tactics
Players will always hear The Kindless unless stated otherwise
Primal Rage
The Kindless lashes out wildly, using brute strength to bash through bulkheads
destroying them permanently.
Hunting Instincts
Tracks and stalks the nearest PC by scent and sound, ignoring all distractions until it
corners its prey. Players have disadvantage on all speed checks.
Nano Swarm Release
Expels a cloud of nano-bots that hunts living creatures. The swarm deals 1d10
damage per round for 3 rounds unless dispersed (INT save or environment
manipulation).
Data Leech
Interfaces with nearby electronics or terminals, draining power or information. Can
now predict player actions and will be in the next room players go to .
Screen-Hopper
Liquefies its bio-mechanical structure and flows into screens and monitors, emerging
from any connected device. Can appear anywhere in the facility with NO WARNING.
Tactical Ambush
Uses newfound intelligence to set traps or lure prey into confined spaces. The next
attack is made with advantage and deals double damage if successful.
Adaptive Camouflage
Shifts its outer shell to blend into the environment or mimic crew uniforms.
Disadvantage on all attacks against it until it moves or attacks.
Psychic Mimicry
Briefly gains fragments of devoured memories, taunting or imitating voices of lost
crew to confuse or terrify players. Players must make a SANITY save or be paralyzed
with fear.
Predator Supreme
Fully integrates devoured knowledge, coordinating multiple tactics at once (choose
any two from above to combine).

the_Escape_protocol
Specifically note if your players remember to bring the subjects with them.
1. you did escape...
< If your players don’t remember to bring the subjects with them. >
The researchers escape leaving the subjects to be consumed. The researchers
live on haunted by the guilt of their actions but rewarded by the company
with a 2% raise and purely aesthetic promotion.
Good Job, you deplorable monster.
2. you truly escape...
< If your players remember to bring the subjects with them. >
The researchers escape bringing the subjects to be rescued. The researchers
and the subjects live on the run the company hungry for their property back.
Hoever you have truly escaped for now...
Good Job, you wanted criminal.
3. you Sadly escape...
< If all your players die. =( >
Your last memory was a mass of steel and flesh bashing down the control
room. Filling like a red sea made of fingers and gaping teeth. However you
feel the sun on your skin, the breeze on your faces.
You are hungry.
So very Hungry
Good Job, you man-made horror.
