In exercise of the powers conltrred b1 rhe proviso to Arricle j09
of the Conslitulion of
India, the Governor of Odisha is pleasecl to make the ft:llowing
rules, further to amend the
General Provident l'und (Odisha) Rules. 193g, namely:-

l' (l) These rules rna,r'be called the Ceneral Provident F'und (Odisha) Arnendmenr Rules,
2023.

(2) They shall corne into fbrce on tlre date of thcir publicarion in the Oclisha Gazele"

3. In the said rules, in sub-rule (l) of rule I l.-

out in such a manner that the total subscription during that year cloes not exceed Rs. 5.00 lakh

L"/- (iii) in cases where lhe total contribution is likely to exceed Rs. 5.00 lakh (Five lakh
rupees) even lvith urinimurn monlhly subscription of 6% ol'the emoluments, deduction oll
CPF subscription fiom rhe snlaries may be stopped as soon as the total subscription in the
financial year reaches Rs. 5.00 lakh (Five lakh rupees) and in such cases also. rhe provision
regarding minimum monthly subscription of 6a/o of the emoluments shall be cleemed to have
been relaxed.'o
