"The Morning Rush"
Scene Heading:
INT. BEDROOM - MORNING
Action:
The camera fades in from black. The bedroom is dimly lit, with the sun barely rising outside. The
alarm clock begins to buzz loudly. The camera zooms in on the alarm clock, then pulls back to
reveal ESTHER, a dishevelled woman in her 30s, half asleep in bed. Her arm shoots out from
under the blanket, slamming the alarm off.

(grumbling, eyes half-closed)
Ugh... five more minutes…
Action:
Esther rolls over and pulls the blanket over her head. The clock on her phone is visible: it's 7:30
AM. The camera cuts to a close-up of the phone screen. Suddenly, an animated digital clock
jumps to 7:45 AM.

INT. KITCHEN - MORNING
Action:
The scene transitions with a soft dissolve. Now in the kitchen, the coffee machine is bubbling.
Esther stumbles in wearing a bathrobe, eyes still squinting. She starts making coffee, distracted.
she accidentally pours milk into a mug that already has her cereal in it.

EXT. OFFICE BUILDING - MORNING
Action:
Esther arrives at the front door of the office building, breathless, but on time. The camera pulls
back slowly, showing the busy entrance.
