The Reading Project
Extensive reading is one of the best ways to improve your English without too much serious
effort. You will come to improve your grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure and reading
comprehension, not to mention the joy of following a theme that you like.
This project is intended to make your reading efficient experience. In this project, you will
basically read two simplified novels and do different tasks based on your reading. It will give
your reading organization and will help you take the most out of your reading by doing different
language activities.
The tasks include the following:
Deciding about your reading comprehension level
Choosing two simplified novels from a list and accessing them
Start reading the books based on a schedule
Provide periodical reports of your reading that will include
o Reporting the number of pages you have read
o Providing a list of new words (to be made into vocabulary logs)
o Providing a short summary of the pages covered in writing
o Making oral presentations based on your reading
Please provide the information in the blank spaces and upload the latest version of your file on
the portal (Evaluations => Summative => Reading Project) at the indicated times. It is very
important that you observe the deadlines. Uploading your files later than the assigned time
means that you are not reading at the scheduled rate. Not only will it make your job difficult at
the time of the tests, but you will also lose points for late submission.
Please notice that you will be working on the same file throughout the whole semester; you
simply continue completing the file at the point that you last stopped and upload the updated
version.

excitedly to make the project.
4-5 Frighten, unhappy After discussion Jack goes to see a man who knows
about sailing around the words. The man said at
Jack this project is hard work and his ask her many
questions and Jack answer to the question. Jack
and heir friend would like to make this ideas
because Max wants look Africa; Tonya want catch
fish and eat. Sasha wants to sea what and Jack
want to meet many does prepare. For the voyage
the four friend look lot of maps. Finally, the big day

6-7 Noise, The four friend are in the sea. They don’t see
England, the are sailing count. They go to visit
France and go to Spain to visit the corona and in
Portugal, they go to Lisbon. Sasha catches finally
the big fish and they eat him.
They arrive to Africa they go to Gambia and a small
child who sell brand bead shells and cloth. Tonya
buys a hat, and they look lot of color an noise and
excitement. They make many small towns by sea
and they interesting and Jack saw what see
different people and thing is nothing is better than
this.
8-9 A live, net, nearer, Some day they see and auther boat as fishing boat

10-11 Hurt, whale, paddle They move slowly and look in the net and see an
orca. The orca is hurst and they decide to help orca
and they constate that is baby orca. Jack going to
help baby orca. Jack sees the net and decide of
end. Sasha research the mother of the orca
doesn’t see other whales. Jack return on the boat
and call baby whales ```Lucky``
12-13 Suddenly, waves After they move away from when whales. It begins
to rain very hard, and sky come black. Jack asks at
her fried to make careful because and hi don’t see
town they are all frightened says Jack.
Suddenly a very big wave hit the boat and there
was water every where Jack call everybody and
Tonya because she is in the water.
14-15 Lifejacket They research Tonya but the wind gets stronger,
and another big wave hit the beat. The boat is full
on water and Sasha arm hunts. Jack proposes to
stop boat. Max is not agree but Hi steer a boat but
wind is strong. After the boat hit the beach Jack
200k sea Think Tonya but Max and Sasha sleep on

16-17 Tonya become to swim but wave or big and water
is cold. She takes a wool in the water and put he
arm around it. Tonya and say Jack comes to help

boat don’t understand Tonya. She sleeps in the
sea.
18-19 Speedily Tonya wake-up and she see a beach, but she is
tired an the colder of whale can’t not help her for
swim for a beach. She looks and a see and don’t
see boat. She listens noise and sea and she likes
then. Tonya understands baby crying and she see
from ten meters a big end. The end make noise but
is not baby end and the whales are many. She
thinks killer whales eat people.
20-21 Perhaps, shore The killer whales come near to Tonya. Water is
could that she doesn’t feel her leg and decide
should «help the whales are around her. She
doesn’t die. The work her life. He put in under
back. She thinks they are not hungry. The whale
moves to the share ant tacking Tonya to the beach.
Tonya put her arms to the end whale. She smiles
and sleeping again.
22-23 Jack sits in the beach. I can’t take a boat. Max and
Sascha are sleep. Jack decides to walk on the
beach to look Tonya. Jack to walk on the beach to

runs to go to see women. He shouts ``Tonya`` and
she return her head and she say her name, Jack

24 Quietly Jack and Tonya are sat on the beach and look the
sea. Jack said they lucky. Tony sees end in the see
the end has or cut and Tonya think the end having
to say good day. For end, Tonya said to Jack quietly
that they are lucky.

born in Arabic. Aladdin and her mother are poor,
so Aladdin mother work all day, but Aladdin don’t

28/05/2022 2-3-4 Careful, quietly, into, All day Aladdin prefer play with her friends and
returns at home evening for a dinner. The Aladdin
mother talk to him to go to look a job but he
doesn’t listen to him. On day a old man come to
the market and he call Aladdin and ask him
question about her name and her father and the
old man discover that Aladdin his the son of
Mustafa and that there father is dead old man is
crying and says Mustafa is her brother, he came
here to see him. The old me introduced him self as
Abanazar. He is a uncle or Aladdin. Aladdin is
surprised. The old man gives ten pieces of gold in
the Aladdin hands and said him go home and says
a your mother, the brother of her husband comes
to see tomorrow. Aladdin run quickly to give the
money for her mother, she was first afraid. Aladdin
explain him that your uncle are give him the
money.
28/05/2022 5-6-7 Tear Next day, Abanazar come her home. He is happy to
fund Aladdin and her mother. Abanazar explain
that is the brother of father Aladdin’s.
Abanazar said he is rich and he wand to help her
brother wife and son. The uncle of Aladdin decide
to buy a new coat for her and talk Aladdin a job
28/05/2022 8-9 Ground, hills They walk and past the sultan’s palace. They
waked amd Aladdin began to fell tired. Abanzar,
they going to see a garden of the sultan palace.
They are stop but Alladdin made a fire and her
uncle put powder in the fire and said
“Abracadabra”. The sky went black and black
smoke come from the fire began to open.
17/06/2022 10 stone Aladdin is very afraid because I see the
smoke exit behind the big white stone.
Abanazar take your arm and put on head
Aladdin’s. After who Aladdin wake up,
Abanazar explain the situation with
Aladdin. Finaly Aladdin listen Abanazar
and execute your recommendation.
17/06/2022 11 stairs Abanazar ask to Aladdin to go downstairs
for taking the lamp but before Aladdin
leave, Abanazar gives him the ring.
17/06/2022 12 In this part, Abanazar asks Aladdin to look
for the magic lamp. Aladdin was afraid of
Abanazar and he pretended to be his
uncle. Aladdin found the lamp but he
needed Abanazar's help to get out of the
place where he was but Abanazar offered
to give him the lamp before going out.
17/06/2022 13 Aladdin refuses to give the lamp to
Abanazar, so he gets angry and locks
Aladdin in the place where he is with the
lamp.
17/06/2022 14 slave Aladdin found himself locked up for three
days and three nights without anyone
coming to his rescue. In an act of
desperation, he used the ring that
Abanazar. At that moment a jinnee. came
out of the ring and asked Aladdin what
wish he wanted to grant.
17/06/2022 16 rub Aladdin vowed to get out of the place
where he was and the jinnee granted his
wish. Back home, he explained the
situation to his mother and eventually fell
asleep. When he woke up, his mother
told him that there was no more food in
the house so Aladdin suggested his
mother sell the old lamp he had brought
but before leaving to sell it, his mother
decided to clean it. When Aladdin's
mother took action, a jinnee appeared.
17/06/2022 17 Once the jinnee appears, Aladdin asks the
jinnee to bring food so that he can eat
with his mother. A few moments later the
jinnee returns with what Aladdin had
wished.
17/06/2022 18 When the jinnee told Aladdin his wish,
Aladdin took the gold plates where the
food was and went to sell them in the
market. Some time later, the mother and
Aladdin became rich.
17/06/2022 19 After five years, Aladdin had enough
money and had earned the respect of
everyone because of his kindness. But
only he and his mother knew the secret
of their wealth.

noise he realized that it was the daughter

beautiful woman in Arabia.

Aladdin as a suitor for his daughter.
Aladdin's mother took several days
before going to talk to the sultan because
she was afraid of him. But she finally met
him.

she told him about her son's feelings for
her daughter while placing jewels at his
feet.
17/06/2022 24 The sultan appreciated the gifts from
Aladdin's mother so he decided to give
his daughter's hand in marriage to
Aladdin, but the vizier interrupted this
moment to give his son a chance to prove
that he is a good son-in-law. The sultan
decided to wait for three months before
making a decision. Two months later,
Aladdin's mother was at the market and
learned that the sultan's daughter was
going to marry the son of the vizier. She
went to tell Aladdin and he became sad.

princess, and, in an instant, she
appeared, and Aladdin confessed his love
for her.
20/06/2022 26 Vizier The princess announced to her father
that she wanted Aladdin to be her
husband, so the sultan asked the vizier
for advice and the vizier decided to test
Aladdin's wealth by giving him a huge
recommendation.
20/06/2022 27 Aladdin managed to satisfy the Sultan's
recommendation by bringing what he
wanted.
20/06/2022 28 The sultan eventually granted Aladdin his
daughter's hand in marriage, and he
married the princess and gave her a
beautiful palace as a gift, and they lived in
this castle.
20/06/2022 29 Abanazar decided to return to Arabia to
retrieve the magic lamp, which was in a
palace and not in the place where he had
left it.
20/06/2022 31 Once arrived in Arabia, Abanazar decided
to use trickery to be able to recover the
magic lamp and to do so, he decided to
sell new lamps in exchange for old ones.
20/06/2022 32 The princess decided to take Aladdin's old
lamp and replace it with a new one. Not
knowing anything about magic, she asked
her slave to make the transaction.
20/06/2022 33 Abanazar retrieved the magic lamp and
ordered the djinnee to send the palace,
Aladdin and the princess to Morocco.
20/06/2022 34 swords Back home, Aladdin realizes that the
Sultan's men have come for him and they
are very angry.
20/06/2022 35 The Sultan gave Aladdin forty days to find
his daughter and his palace or he would
be killed. After thirty-seven days, Aladdin
called upon the jinnee of his magic ring to
solicit his help.
20/06/2022 36 Unable to bring back Aladdin's wife and
his palace, the jinnee offered to drive
Aladdin and in a moment he was at the
place where his wife and palace were.
20/06/2022 37 Aladdin reunited with his wife and
together they decided to put a plan in
place to suppress Abanazar.
20/06/2022 38 stood Once Abanazar arrived in the palace, the
princess went to welcome him and
offered him to drink from a golden cup.
20/06/2022 39 After drinking from the cup, Abanazar fell
into a deep sleep. The princess went to
look for Aladdin and he decided to take
her to a safe place before completing
their plan.
20/06/2022 40 Aladdin retrieved his lamp and put
Abanazar to sleep for good before
returning to his wife.
20/06/2022 41 When finished, Aladdin asked the jinnee
to bring him, his wife and his palace back
to Arabia. Once there, the sultan was
very happy to find his daughter. Aladdin
and his wife lived very happily in their
castle.
